Are there any members in the northeast corner of Iowa. The reason I ask is I want to get a shoot together. When I get back home in may. If anyone is intersted please e-mail me. Hopefully I can get enough poeple intersted to make it a routine event.

I am in

Southeast Iowa about 90 miles southeast of Dubuque and retired so I have some time if necessary if I have some forewarning. I live in the Iowa City area and don't mind a road trip.
 
Hi, My wife is from near Decorah.

We live in Wales at the moment, but will be hopefully coming over to the family farm in May ish for holidays next year!!

We'll be up for a shoot with you ;-)
 
shoot in Iowa

So far I have about 10 people coming. The shoot will take place in late Apr. or early May at a local gun range near waterloo. They have ranges from 25yds to 300yds I belive. We will have a potluck to follow. All are welcome to come. It would be great if we can get some new blood out to the range. Bring the kids, the grandkids or just yourself. I look forward to hearing from all of you.

Ya might want to check out www.iowacarry.org. They have members all over the state and some outside it (like my displaced carcass :p). they have organized shootas and even a crab boil coming up is Oskaloosa I think. Check it out.

I am glad to see all the support and hope to have a very safe and fun shoot.

That is planning ahead. I'll try to make time for it. Didn't know they had a public range in that park.

Displaced in Orygun. Grew up near the Blackhawk range and have shot there many times. Have not been back to Iowa for 10yrs. and was planning to make the trip this spring. May is as good a time as any. let me know the date when one is made for the shoot.

Yep, just shot there this weekend. Rifle range is 100 & 200 yards with three bench's.

Also 25 & 50 yard ranges. Also stations to shoot clay targets are provided. I have my own target holder - if anyone else does, you might want to consider bringing your own - the current ones are junk - they have been shot to pieces.

Targets are sold at the ranger station - one dollar for one - four for three dollars. They are the only authorized tagets for this particular range, this rule is enforced!

Up side - range use is free - very nice park.
