357 Rifle?

If you mean MAGAZINE, then maybe.

Dunno of any company that makes a rifle that accepts en-bloc clips anymore.
By .357, do you mean .357 Magnum, or......whatsit, I thought there was a .357 rifle calibre out there somewhere? Or am I getting it confused with .375?

Marlin makes the 1894C and Rossi make a Win 92 clone. Their are a few other leverguns out there, but not many others.
I would love to see a CZ or Mini-Mauser in 357.

Are you looking for one that has a detachable magazine that will allow use of pointed bullets as opposed to a tubular one? I have never seen one like this.

Just to clarify the question. Are you asking about a detachable magazine where the cartridges are stacked such as in an AR? The Marlin 1894C has an internal tubular magazine with the rounds lined up end to end. (Really fun rifle BTW)

I have never heard of a box-mag fed .357. Your closest bet would be to somehow make a Desert Eagle or Coonan Arms carbine (which is probably illegal.) I wish someone would make a smooth, box-mag fed Winchester 1895-type rifle, or a pump-action box-fed .357.

Because the 357 is a rimmed cartridge it doesn't stack well. A removable stacking mag would be difficult to make as there would probably be feeding problems. Tube mags do not present the same difficulties.

Only one I've seen was a kit for the Desert Eagle made by a French company, I believe, that turned it into a rifle. Saw one picture of it being held at a gunshow but never heard anything more.

Why would that be illegal?

Also, I have never heard of a .357 detachable box fed magazine rifle.
But it seems like the desert eagle thing would work.

They usually avoid using rimmed ammo in box magazines because of the feeding problems associated with it. I doubt anybody has ever made a rifle using a detachable magazine in .357. The natural place for the .357 would be in a pistol based weapon and they never made one of those either (mag fed .357 that is).

That was the whole point of the .357 sig. To duplicate the performance of the .357 mag but to do it out of a magazine fed weapon. i suppose in theory if you wanted a magazine fed .357 mag weapon you could start with one of the .40 S&W cal carbines out there and have it rebarreled in accept .357 sig since the .357 is just a necked down .40 round.

Makes me wonder why someone hasn't done it yet. If the .357 sig got the same boost out of a carbine as the .357 mag then you'd have a really great little carbine on your hands. but somehow, give it's case size, I doubt the results would be the same.

Coonan arms made a .357 mag auto for a few years. Also, isn't the .22lr rimmed? Seems to me there are hundreds of thousands of .22 box magazine fed autoloaders out there...

Russian 7.62x54r, the 303 British are a couple that feed from a box magazine. Although a clip fed .357 rifle sounds neat it's like a clip fed shotgun. It's a solution to a non-problem.

A Marlin 357 lever gun is a really fun gun and quite versatile. Why do you insist on a box magazine fed 357 versus the tubular mag?

Ruger used to make the 4-44 carbine or whatever it's called in .44 mag.

IMA imported those Timberwolf rifles in both .357 and .44. Tube mag though.

Handgun caliber rifles don't appeal to me since for the same size and weight you almost always can get a rifle caliber.

Intitial question:
Does anyone make a 357 magumn Rifle with a magazine?
You get answers.
Then
I am looking for one that has a magazine.
You get additional answers
Then
Not a tubler magazine.:banghead:

Maybe it's me but the use of the little smiley indicates a bit of frustration on someone's part. This would've been avaoided had the initial question been properly worded. You asked a question and recieved pertinant answers. Getting frustarted over it isn't the result of those answers.
Now... As far a available non-tubular magazine fed .357 magnum rifles go, I don't recall any regualr production ones but I do somewhat recall someone re-doing the m1 carbine into such an animal. Would require a fair amount of reworking the action, bbl and bolt I'd imagine.
I do like the idea of a detachable mag .357 carbine but don't really see it happening. Maybe drip a note ot two to some manufacturers having simila design s and let them know of your idea.
Until then, if you want a mag fed .357 your stuck with lever guns.

Ruger does still offer the 44 Magnum Deerfield semi auto carbine with detachable magazine. However, it uses a rotary magazine rather than a conventional stacked box mag. If there were enough demand I'm sure Ruger would offer the same rifle in 357 Mag. Then, the aftermarket might offer larger capacity stacked box mags for it if demand was suffcient, much like the aftermarket 10/22 magazines. I think lack of demand is the limiting factor in getting what you seek.

You may find a Remington Model 8 in .351 Rem auto and have it converted to .357. Seems like more work than I'd care to do.
Heck, if you wanted it bad enough and are willing to pay through the arse, you could have an AR15 type converted to said caliber.
Another option for an individual who wanted a potent handgun caliber with a box magazine would be the HK Mp5 in 10mm auto.
