I have a newer model 52. How do you remove the bolt and are there aftermarket triggers avalible?

S&W forum has instructions for Winchester rifles? Wow.

From Winchester manual for (reissue) 52B sporter, to remove the bolt, starting with the bolt closed, push the trigger FORWARD, open and pull back the bolt while holding the trigger forward. To return, insert bolt while holding the trigger BACK.

If that doesn't do it, ask at
http://rimfireshooting.com/index.php?

I don't know if there are aftermarket triggers, but my friends in the .22 game say Carl Kenyon is still alive doing great tuneups on Winchester triggers.

Jim Thanks, I tried about 4 times to no avail then I let the firing pin drop and tried again Viola!! popped out like magic!! Thanks again

My 1929 Model 52 and 1948 52B

each release their bolts by pulling the trigger as you withdraw, if I recall correctly.

Why would you want a replacement for such excellent triggers? Which 52 do you mean? There was 52 (never was a 52A), 52B, 52C, also D and E.
