NJ needs to break off and fall into the ocean, right alongside CA

It would make more difference in how education is directed across this
country if DC Green Zone broke off and fell into the Potomac:

Let's start at the State level....

NJ Ed hierarchy:

....which is directed at the Federal level by both "public"....

Fedgov:

ED was created in 1980 by combining offices from several federal agencies. Its original directive remains its mission today — to ensure equal access to education and to promote educational excellence throughout the nation. ED's 4,500 employees and $71.5 billion budget are...

Fed Ed hierarchy:

The Assistant Secretary for Elementary and Secondary Education serves as principal adviser to the Secretary of Education on all matters related to elementary and secondary education. The Office is responsible for directing, coordinating, and recommending policy for programs...Foster educational improvement at the State and local levels.

Provide financial assistance to local educational agencies whose local revenues are affected by Federal activities.

Knock yourselves out on policy letters to the states and federal legislation:

...and "private" entities...

The so-called "private" side of education:
http://www.nea.org/aboutnea/whatwedo.html

Their philosophy goes back a ways:

The National Education Association "A Declaration Of Interdependence: Education For A Global Community" (1976):
"We are committed to the idea of Education for Global Community. You are invited to help turn the commitment into action and mobilizing world education for development of a world community."

BTW, I doubt the NEA would agree with THR members who believe schools
would be safer if school staff was armed:

http://www.nea.org/nr/old/st980616.html

Let me repeat this again:

We are committed to the idea of Education for Global Community. You are invited to help turn the commitment into action and mobilizing world education for development of a world community.

Guns....bad....veterans....bad.....nationalism....bad....sovereignty...bad....
Global Community....GOOD! :)

Getting the big picture yet? No? Ok, time to make more mud bricks for Pharaoh

"I don't think the state should be in the business of telling districts to do every single thing," [state Sen. John Adler] said.

It doesn't say, but I guess since you guys are in such a tizzy this guy is a Democrat. Always entertaining to see the Democrat arguing the small government option and watching the Republicans have a heart attack.

yawn. state Sen. Jon Adler might be trumpeting more leverage for school districts in this particular instance, but i would be quite willing to bet a huge sum that when discussing the likes of say, subjecting students to police state-type security measures in these schools, he would have no problem with the state government dictating things state-wide. it's got nothing to do with republicans or Democrats....each party is equally endowed in new jersey with tremendous amounts of evil intent.

So basically he's your standard supporter of small government.

Why Johnny Can't Be An American

+ 1 Thin Black Line

Americans have always worshipped at the altar of Education. It will, for this reason, be extremely hard for us to face where the real theater of war actually is and how benign its outward face.

Personal Experience

From my own personal experience (four years working part time as a contractor for the NEA/NSEA office in Las Vegas) I can say with some authority the NEA and its affiliates are actively working to subvert the social order.

I will relate a single incident by way of example:
The senior/key NEA staff used to attend, as a body when they could, conventions whenever possible.
One memorable Saturday, I was in the office doing modifications to test scoring software, and the guys who'd gone to a convention in Denver came back. They milled around for a couple of hours, rehashing the stuff they'd heard there. They were stoked.
Over that couple of hours, as well as the next several days and weeks, what emerged was a new "mission" for education. One speaker, a guy working in both education and mental health, spoke at length about the "duty" of educators to "cure" the fundamental psychosis of young children given into their charge.
[Paraphrasing]
The children that come to you have a variety of psychoses from their indoctrination at the hands of their parents and society. They have misguided allegiances to their families and communities. They suffer from a misplaced patriotism. They have a misguided sense of morality, and outdated parochial values, such as right and wrong. They have an unhealthy sense of individualism.
All of these things must be overcome if they are to be functioning, well-adjusted members of the greater community. It is your job, as teachers, to cure these illnesses, to treat these psychoses, and make these children sane. The earlier we get to them, the easier our task will be. We will be there to help you, but you are the front line.
They chatted on as though I wasn't even there: more than a year of seeing me there, hunched over a keyboard, had led them to treat me like furniture.

I have never forgotten that day, that month. I saw and heard dozens of other hair-curling, mind-boggling things during my four years there. I watched a guy get fired for interceding for a lady that was being verbally abused. Reason for dismissal? Bad attitude, insubordination.

These guys are truly scary. And they control our kids' education/indoctrination.

geekWithA.45 I support your plan... just let me escape into Pennsylvania first. :D

He wasn't arrested but he was detained and I was not allowed to see him for hours while the SS questioned him

Can you say Click , Click BOOM . NOBODY would hold my kid with out paying dearly !!!!!!!!!!! ***** .

geek .....................got enough wirerope to hook to CT ???? LMAO

Time to build a fence and fill the Delaware with sharks. If you're still in New Jersey it's too late. The smart ones left Germany in 1933/34.

My Grandpa was "inducted into the National Army" in NJ and sent to Camp Dix, as it was called then, before he was sent off to WWI. Dumbasses running NJ ought to teach their own history, it is just another sign of the decline of the USA as we've known it.

Go New Jersey!!

Hopefully, this will catch on in the rest of the North. Teach your children to be apathetic atheist pacifists, so that they have no core values or ambition. That way my backwards God fearing ass kicking Southern children will clean your clocks on the next go around.

(Mostly tongue in cheek...)

Seriously, how are these poor kids ever going to succeed at anything? They are taught that nothing is honorable and that nothing has any true meaning. They are being failed by their parents (when present) and the education system. :fire:

The last straw was my "religious leader" organizing 2 busloads of women to go to the pro-abortion rally in Washington, DC. Just couldn't take it anymore after that. Best move I ever made. Of course, he took the place of a "religious leader" who killed his wife. Many of you are probably familiar with the story. Ethically bankrupt is putting it mildly and SE PA is infected with NJ and NY transplants, unfortunately.

Blame The State?

From some of the posts, I gather that NJ is evil and needs to be sunk/bombed/burned/whatever.

We evidently have other evil states as well. NY, CA, MA come to mind.

It's kind of like they have the social/political equivalent of, what, rabies?

I'm thinking, rather than killing the patient we need to find out what infection he has. Once you've isolated the actual cause of the "regional" insanity, you can treat it with chemo, antibiotics, viral remedies, or surgery.

The disease is evidently spreading. Amputating every infected state will leave us living on a rather crowded isthmus that used to be called the Rocky Mountains.

So, given that we don't actually want to excise whole chunks of real estate, wouldn't it make more sense to find the actual cause, and "medicate" that?

I'm thinkin' schools do stoopid things 'cause of the people in charge. Those people were appointed and given their mandates by . . . ? They get their policies from . . . ?

Now that I think of it, it's kind of like dealing with zombies. Nobody starts out as a zombie, they're turned into one by direct contact.

So where's the head zombie that's making NJ schools shuffle around, groaning and wailing, looking for new fodder to propogate more of their kind?

Has Bruce Springstein been informed? He still gets them riled up in New Jersey, doesn't he?

I'm still ticked that, while a precious handful of Veterans of The Great War For Civilization yet live, we shame them by the ongoing theft of what was to be forever theirs. You know, even the UK still observes the moment of silence at the appointed hour on November 11th.
