That's for me to know and not you!
So I am taking the UTAH test / class at the end of the month, and of course I am going to need a new gun!!:neener:

Cant carry in the DPRK but I can carry when I travel.

I have broken it down into some choices. For those that do carry concelaed, please vote and leave some feed back. Thanks

P.s. If you have more suggestions or opinions add'em.!

Of those you listed, my choice is the Glock. My personal carry gun is most often either a Ruger SP101 .357, Taurus 85 .38 or a Glock 22 .40. My next purchase will be either a Glock 26 9mm or 27 .40.

well of the guns you listed, which are great choices by the way and a great place to start some of the best names in firearms.

I voted for the xd sc, i have the .40 model and i love it, use the search function and you will see alot of praise that i have given mine since i have had it. great gun and I carry it either on my hip or in my galco miami classic shoulder holster they are sweet guns that give you concealability and capacity as well. they are accurate, reliable and easy shooters. i would say they are best suited for wearing under an over garment.

the kahr on the other hand i also have and like alot though i am not in love with it as much as my xd's it is a reliable, accurate shooter as well, i normally wear it in the warm weather with just a shirt over it. they are very concealable and easy to carry for long periods. i would suggest the steel framed mode;s, i like the extra weight which isn't much but it balances the gun out well.

the glock 30 i do not like but that is simply because i do not care for the glock sc's but they are fine firearms and they will serve you well.

good luck in your search!

I chose a HK P2000 as my daily carry, with a strong thought towards the Glock 19. When it came down to it, I wanted a lightweight DA/SA pistol. Then it came down to Walther vs. the P2000. Both felt great in the hand, both have similar mag releases, but I prefer the decocker location on the P2000 more. So far, I'm happy with it. It rarely leaves my side because I can barely ever feel it there.

You got some good choices. I wanted a compact polymer pistol also, the P2000 V3 is what I chose.

Psst... USPc .40 magazines work in the P2000 9mm for 13 rounds ;)

just an fyi..........you do not need a gun to take the CCW class in Utah

I love you guys, I know I dont NEED a gun, but its a justification to get a new gun.

Man up .................G21 or a 1911 . Dont be a skirt .

I aint no skirt but I do want a new gun and this is a nice option, I am not a large guy 5'11" 180 pounds, dont want to have to change my entire warddrove to carry.

SCS,

Actually, since the 1911 is so thin (but long in length) you'd be surprised how well a fullsize 1911 can conceal with a good IWB holster. To me, since I'm skinny also I can conceal a fullsize 1911 better than the compact polymer pistols.

Something to consider also if you choose to go that way. A Scandium 1911 commander would also be a great option.

i agree about the 1911.

can't wait until i get mine. gunna give the single stack a try:)

I vote for the XD. I like the weapon in general (having one myself) and I like the added grip safety over the Glock. Plus, from what I've handled, the XD is a good bit slimmer than the Glock, a bonus for conceal carry.

I carry a 1911 at all times, either a Bobtailed Smith & Wesson Scandium Commander or a Kimber Ultra Carry II. They are great pistols and VERY easy and comfortable to conceal. I found the Para Wart Hog to be too wide and very uncomfortable to grip, especially for a .45.

It's hard to choose from the guns you have listed since they are all over the board.

I'd lump the Glock 26/27/33 & HK P2000sk in with the XDsc's as far a size/capacity/caliber.

Of those choose the one that fits your dress attire the best, i've chosen the Glock 26 since it is easy for me to conceal and practice ammo is cheap. But one of the others might fit your needs and price point better.

Steve

If you consider accuracy and reliability important I'd take the Sig 239 over any of your choices.

45 Compact

I have to go with the Khar 45 - I like the stopping power! - Another choice but not on the list would be a XD 45 Compact.

Of your choices, I prefer the HK P2000. I like the ergos, the shootability & the out of box dependability.

I voted Glock but it is a hard choice. I also like the HK. Where was the Kimber ultra carry II?
