If I had a company selling once fired range brass, and I had a customer complain about getting 20 out of 2000 cases that was an off brand, I would not be so polite. I buy 100% processed LC cases all the time, and it is just a fact of life that a few off brand cases will snuck in. That's the difference between paying 5c/case and 20+c/case.

Check out oncefiredbrass.com

I have bought brass from them on several ocasions and have absolutely nothing but good things to say. I have always recieved a few extras in every order. I did find a few bad pieces here and there, but there has always been more than enough extras added to the order to make up for the bad ones.

The fact that cheyenne brass made a zero attempt to keep you as a customer says more to me than anything. They firgure they don't need you, so take your business elsewhere.

sorry to hear about your experience. it's no the first time people have had troubles with them. check ar15.com. some companies just fall short in the customer service side of the business because they do such a large volume that they don't care. the more people that hear about this problem or experience the same problem the better. after they loose some business maybe they'll turn things around.

Lee F,

Before I can agree or disagree whether it was good customer service or not I would need more details.
  • You said you ordered 2,000 rounds , but how many rounds total did you actually receive?
  • How many cases were crushed?
  • How many cases had dents too deep to safely reload?

I am also in the customer service business and I know some times the customers expectations is realistically based. Take for instance your statement :

I]Quote originally posted by Lee F[/I]I also paid to have the primer pocket reamer, the case sized, and the case cut to length the crushed cases and shoulders would have been noticed.

Industrial brass wholesalers use machines that roll the brass to resize them to the correct dimensions and then cuts them to size. So if a case has its neck smashed it will roll it to the right size but the case will be distorted but will be shipped. Dented cases are subjective many times the dents will iron out without any ill effect on the life of case when the it is fired. You should have received an extra 100 or 200 to cover any damaged cases.

If you didn't receive enough extras to cover your throw aways then I would have to agree with you. Regardless you should have at least 2,000 serviceable casings
