Thanks to the Zumbo mess, my son called in to Guntalk to talk to Uncle Ted.
That was enough to put my 10 year old step daughter over the edge and decide to want to join the fun.
This is her first scary black rifle which we bought tonight :)

What is that poster? 'Gun control is believing it is better for a woman to be raped than for a rapist to be shot'? Maybe the unintended good consequence of Zumbo's logorhea is that your daughter will have the firepower and will to ensure her own non-victim status over her lifetime. Two thumbs up on this good start.

We need more kids shooting, and the more the better.

I agree, and I dare say nothing is funner for a kid than a terrorist rifle.

Here is my youngest daughter at the range a few weeks ago with my "Christmas present". I didn't have the camera with me yesterday, or I could have gotten some pics of her with the new Taurus .45. She is homeschooled you know, so we take some time from time to time to show her all about real gun control.

When I first posted pictures of this rifle, some people told me they did not care for an AR type collapsible stock on an AK. It makes all the difference for both of us, since we are quite a bit different in size. She shortens it up an I take it out almost to the last peg.

I put one on mine too. I'm sure the AK gods (and especially the purists) are quite upset with me, but it fits VERY well, and I have no regrets.

From one AK heretic to another, nice rifle.

I've found most females shoot better than most men with the same training and expierence.

Swingset, Great Picture. I dare say it'll put the fear of 2A into the anti's.

If you like it, who cares what anyone else says. Are they really going to argue with you?

Well, the joke is on the AK purists - they've chosen to stick with an uncomfortable and fixed buttstock purely for cosmetic reasons. It's not like the Russians were sweating over the drawing board trying to make ergonomic rifles. "Good enough" describes too much of their handiwork.

Your instance is the textbook illustration of why collapsible buttstocks are popular and in many cases superior to fixed or folders for utility's sake. I can hand my 6-pos AR to my wife who needs one length, me who needs another, and my daughter who needs yet a third. If I shoot rifle style, I extend it, squared up with a vest on, collapsed. That's function, and it has a beauty all it's own.

Good on ya for taking your daughter to shoot, and for the homeschooling! That's how we'll win the battle.

It's just a rifle. Happens to be black. I have a bolt action Remington that's all black too...... what's the difference?

My M14 is brown. Is it somehow less a rifle because its a different color or more or less of anything?
It's a tool.
I'm confused by Zumbo and I'm confused by hunters that agreed with him.

I'd be curious to know how many deer are taken each year with .223

Here's my 11 year old shooting a black rifle.

A coyote fell to this rifle and the trigger finger of the 11 year old later that same night. No terrorists here.....
