Liberal Hypocrites

So far I have been spreading the news about the assault weapon ban and the ban on posession of certain firearms in Florida and Illinois.

I am really tired of the liberal hypocrites who scream about George Bush and the republicans violating our rights and wiretapping and the patriot act then when the issue about gun ownership comes up "oh there should be restrictions!" and I been told be numerous Democrats "we don't want your guns, we want sensible gun control in place" so much for that considering these 2 latest bills. Now the fools on these same forums think it's a good thing that there is a possibility if these bills pass in Illinois or Florida that somehow this is a good thing for America?

Makes me sick how many people actually support confiscation of our guns, you know it was the liberals complaining about the patriot act yet they support invasion of privacy to violate our 2nd amendment rights and take our firearms? What the hell is wrong with people? They've gone from "oh we only want sensible gun laws" to "oh lets ban everything thats semi-auto and you can continue to hunt" they are complete hypocrites.

Sensible gun laws needed? Hmmmm. Let's see, that must mean the 2000 plus gun laws now on the books are not sensible? So I suggest to our anti brethern that we just get them all repealed first, then we can debate what's sensible or not. Or, better yet, if the laws we have now are not sensible, enforceable, reasonable, draconian enough, what makes anyone believe another law will be any better.

Guns are like atom bombs. You can't disinvent them. If you legislate them then those who need them the most will be sans them.

Personally there is only one national gun law I'd like to see.

Resolved: Every individual over the age of 12 is required to have a rifle, a shotgun and a handgun with 500 rounds of ammunition for each.
Each citizen over the age of 12 is required to have completed an NRA course on the proper use and safety of firearms.

I think the current crop of Republican leaders who support the Assault Weapons Ban are pretty hypocritical. You know, folks like Bush, Romney,
Giuliani, etc.

Don't you think its hypocritical of them to say they are pro-gun?

Or is it only hypocritical when a Democrat does it?

No one says it's only Democrats. It's just that the vast majority of antis are.

I'm sure all the Republicrats you mentioned have plenty of their own guns.

I don't know for sure how long the liberals (both parties true, but it's almost universal in the Democrat Party - if you ain't liberal they won't let you play with them) have wanted "sensible gun laws", I've really only watched the hypocrasy since the Gun Control Act of '68.

A truth about the party line: The few silly-assed liberal Republicans don't have sufficent numbers to do any harm unless they are assisted by the majority Democrats.

Second truth: It is only the fact that the Democrats can't get a 60% vote in the Senate that stops them from taking our gun rights away tomorrow.
