AR-15 Giveaway... (Who can't use a free AR?)

I just asked to be de-registered and to be removed from the giveaway.

I have been checking the active posts, and find that there are basically two things that go on over there:

1) lots of "low road" crude joking in the "Break Room", and
2) lots of complaining by the regulars about how one of the newbies is going to win their precious giveaway.

I haven't seen a whole lot of 2A substance.

If I can do this without falling afoul of the Moderators (please, guys, notify me before you toss me off!), we're also giving away CUSTOM GUNS on my Forum/video site, DOWN RANGE TELEVISION.

The first giveaway gun is a custom Sig Sauer GSR 1911 from my old and dear friend Bruce Gray, whom I believe is one of the greatest 1911 mechanics in the world. I spec'ed the gun from the ground up...what i wanted to offer was a gun that i would be proud to own. We're going to give it away at the NRA Members Meeting mid-April.

Next up is a spectacular 10/22 from the masters at Tactical Solutions in Boise. Once again, I've been working with chief engineer Tom Hines on the gun, because I want it to be "off the charts." Coming up later this year are custom ARs, a special revolver from master Hamilton Bowen and, hopefully, a REALLY big boomer!

And you don't have to feel like you're cheating on THR, because the focus of my site is videos.

Thanks, guys, and I hope this is appropriate for THR!

Shoooooot... That's all you had to say Blanco :D

Thanks for the heads up... And all the other great work!

It's contests like that which inspire good men like Mr. Volk to reach out and show the rest of those sites what a "Real Give Away" is all about! I forsee something upcoming in the 50 caliber department. Just you watch.

Sistema1927 your right not to participate , Howeaver most of the folks over there are great guys , I enjoyed them on the sigforum , and will at the new forum ... High roads standard , well no the board isnt , but neither is many , some of which i suspect you joined lol .

Edited to add : Olig volk gives plenty away by hosting thr . He is not a startup and does not need an ar or a snubby to get members ... he does fine here as does the mod team .

Anyone else's anti virus software going off when you go there? Mine keeps giving me a "hacker" alert.

I think I'll pass. :)

The site gave me an epic virus, my computer exploded, and now I have no eyebrows.

STAY OFF THE SITE!!! :neener:

Would the age on that AR be 18 or 21? It says it has a 16 inch barrel and I believe the long guns start at 18 inches?

Hey, I'm in. I could use either. I need a good EBR. I also, could use a smaller CCW than my Ruger SP101 that I have now. :D

I won my second gun ever, and what would be the most expensive if bought (Mossberg), on the single $5 raffle ticket I bought from a local sportsmen's club.

Luck is luck! Anyone, on those dozens of pages of entries, has an equal chance.

Josh

I registered without any problems. I'm 20 though, so I'm a little concerned about the legal issues if I were to win that snubby. Oh well, I've never won anything in my life, probably won't start now.

Looks like another pretty good site.Great, now I can spend even MORE time reading online about my gun (obsession) hobby.Oh well, with all the rain in Oregon, it gives me my daily fix for when I cant go shooting.Besides, I'd do NEED an AR, and turning down a chance at a free gun is sacrelidge....:)
