YOU NEED TO.....

Check out a S&W M&P 9mm........:)

DO IT!
You won't regret it!!

CZ75B

I will not even try to open up a can of worms and tell you that its more reliable than a glock 19, but I will say its just as reliable...and more accurate:evil:

I'll just ask you one question: Do you want tupperwear, or Steel?:neener:

For the price the 75B is one of the best deals on the market. Its a VERY nice gun, and only about $400

I have the 75SP-01, its a bit hefty, but it almost feels like you are shooting a .22

Like said so many times before you need to try out different guns to see what works best for you. I was recently looking for a new 9mm and it was a toss up between a GLock 19,S&W M&P9, FN FNP9,Beretta PX4 Storm, and a Springer XD9. All of them very fine guns all have had great reviews and many good post about them. Out of all of them the Beretta fit my hands the best with a natural point of aim. The S&W M&P 9 just did not point well for me as well along with the XD. The FNP and Glock just never felt right in my hands. I shoot at least 50 - 75 round thru each before I made up my mind and bought the PX4 Storm.

CZ SP-01 if you want a full sized gun. CZ P-01 if you want something a bit smaller and lighter. The SP-01 has a bit of heft to it but shoots like a dream. Little recoil.

I went to a gun show today as I am also looking for a 9mm. I was pretty set on the Ruger KP95R which was a reasonable price of $309. I then looked at the CZ and Glock 19 after enjoying your survey and they are all awsome! I also looked at others. After spending about 3 hours pondering I came home empty handed  and decided I would refer to my gun book, do a little more internet research and go back in the morning if I can make up my mind. The same dealer that had the Ruger also had a beautiful Kimber Custom II 45ACP that made me drool.

I've fired the Glock and CZ but not felt really comfortable with them. For the "other" category, has anyone fired the Taurus 24/7 9mm. A test result article lauded it's attributes yet I see no recommendations posted from real shooters. Is that a clue?

All I know is that BHP's are expensive and the very well versed gentleman working at the range today kept taking about different quirks (read malfunctions) that are inherent to his BHP. He works at a gun store..........

After attending a gun show last weekend I had planned to buy a Ruger KP95
but I decided to wait until I could afford the Glock. I vowed to never buy a "plastic" gun but after talking extensively with the dealer, several Glock enthusiasts, and doing a lot of touchy-feely, I think I'm sold. :D The Glock 19 fit my hand so damn well. Now all I need to do is find a person who has one I might be able to shoot.

My 2 cents

Glock.

you can probably pick up a nice used model 19 and save some $$

If you want to change/fix stuff parts are readily available.

easy to work on \easy to shoot

Finally got to the store and held several 9mm. Turns out the Taurus 24/7 I had read so many nice things about, didn't fit my hand properly. The trigger guard rubbed too hard against my finger. The Glock 17 had the best hand fit and easiest sighting alignment when aiming but the Beretta 92 was a close second. Heavier than a Glock but felt really nice. I know the miltary is issuing the Beretta. Anyone know anything personally about the Beretta? Positive or negative?
