Ted Kennedy invited the American Civil Liberties Union,
the National Immigration Law Center, the National Council
of La Raza, the Service Employees International Union,
the Chamber of Commerce and the Essential Worker
Immigration Coalition to help him craft his
comprehensive immigration-reform bill.

Completely ignored in this process are American citizens!

I am outraged, that any attempt to draft a legitimate immigration bill
that would satisfy the American people has been stolen away by
"open-border" lobbyists!

That's why I've added my name to this important
Grassfire.org petition, and why I'm inviting you to do the same--before
Ted Kennedy and his cohorts ram an amnesty bill down our throats that
will jeopardize our national security.

P.S. After signing this petition, please alert your friends, family, and
co-workers, letting them know that Grassfire is standing up and saying
"Stop The Invasion!"

Thanks for your help.

Ted Kennedy is at it

He will probably tell us that if we have a problem with him "he will cross that bridge when he comes to it".

I'm an "American citizen" and I for one recognize the benefits to a free market capitalist society when you reform laws to allow needed labor force to move freely into our economy. Anyone who is pro-freedom and pro-American business should recognize this need for immigration reform.

Companies like GM, Haliburton, John Deere, and Caterpillar are the ones who are "open-border lobbyists", fyi.

Are you sure you're not angry just because most of these people aren't the right color according to you?

I support immigration reform. I say we stop ALL of it. This isn't the 1850's anymore. We have all the citizens this country needs IMO. Our offspring will increase the population fast enough as it is, we don't need more people to help with that. God forbid we have cities as packed as China does.

To Junky

I can’t say that I have any problem with their color. I am, however, sick and tired of seeing English relegated to a second language.

I’d be a poor one to talk about immigration. I’m only third generation in this country. My GGF came here from Germany. But, strange as it may seem to some, he learned to speak English.

Re: Junky, I'm calling Troll.

Since when does color make illegal right?! My wife is from Chile...she came here legally! It too me more than 2 years to get her here legally! Where does that leave me, because I assure you, Sir/Ma'am (whichever) I am vehemently anti-illegal anything!

Ted Kennedys at it

What color would that be and why do you try to make this a race issue? My daughter-in-law is mostly of Hispanic/American Indian decent and her family was living in California before it became a state. My 9 month old granddaughter is the cutest girl there is, looks like her dad, but has her moms temper.

The problem is not color, the problem is legality. If people don't respect America enough to become a citizen legally, then they don't deserve to be here.

And for what its worth, my daughter-in-law is more furious about the illegals being here than I am.

I say that if they come in, pay the taxes and meet the other requirements, why shouldn't they be allowed in.

If they are not parasitic, let them work, if they are let them wither!

As to the English issue, most other countries are bilingual with English being one of them. Currently I am working on Japanese and Spanish to expand my skills.

(much fun in restaeraunts)

+1 to freedspeak.

as long as they pay their taxes i could care less how many come here. make it easier for them to come over. then we would not have so many illegals. and no welfare for non citizens!

Their idea is bring them in, give them citizenship and free health care and other benefits, and they will vote Democtatic. All we will get out of the deal is fewer rights, higher taxes, and more crime. This could very well kill our country.

I know of many young families that are hard working, pay their taxes, and can't afford proper eye glass or dental care for their kids but the government thinks they should pay for other people's kids to have these benefits for free.

obxned, right on!Thats the double standard thats got alot of folks feeling the pinch and getting hot over it,myself included.

Maybe the best course of action would be to move ted to a foreign country and let him run things there because he is doing a fine job of fouling it up here.

I respectfully suggest that the problem isn't the 'illegals' but those who provide sustenance and encourage illegal immigration in exchange for a lower wage rate and political support.

Finding fault with the immigrants rather than those who would take advantage of them is akin to blaming guns for crime rather than the criminals.

salty.
