What the hell does this post have to do with anything.

What does your senseless agitating have to do with anything?

I bite my tounge in my response, however you should realize that your immature tactics will get you nowhere.

Grow up.

If you dislike the police, at least post something reasonable, articulate and on topic.

:fire:

Hypocrisy mostly. Though probably inflammatory.
It does show a very public display of inappropriate behavior.
These same folks would be glad to cuff and stuff someone else for the same thing.

Oh yeah, I looked at the same story an a couple of other sites. One reported on a police web site.

sadly its not made up. i lived in dc worked in hotels. maybe its cause new york has so many cops but in my experience cops from new york and jersy were the worst by far.

:what: WHAT?? More evidence that police officers are human beings. I'm shocked, shocked I say. :what: Who would expect that a group mostly populated by males in their 20s would act much different then other groups of males the same age when away from home?

Why don't we compare their conduct to college students, soldiers or any other similar demographic? For that matter, why don't we compare them to other conventions of older people.

Many people get away from home and cut loose....Why don't we condemn them as a group while we're at it?

Where's Lucky and Tecumseh? It seems some of the other regular cop bashers haven't had a chance to have their say. I bet Blackfork and pcosmar never went on Spring break or to a convention and got a little rowdy.....

Because it is not college students, soldiers or any other similar demographic that anti-gun people continue to say we should rely on to defend our lives.

I agree with you that this is "[m]ore evidence that police officers are human beings." This is of course the point we on the pro-gun side keep trying to make to gun-grabber. Gun grabbers know that they have to put LEOs up on some type of pedestal in order for them to make the argument that police officers are more qualified to defending human life than the average law abiding gun owner.

We challenge the anti-gun notion that police are trained much better in firearms than the average citizen by demonstrating that the shooting skill of the average law enforcement officer, most of which train at the range as little as possible, is much less than the skill of the average gun enthusiasts that trains on a regular basis.

There is also a notion that police officers, based on their unique training, act in a more professional manner than the average citizens. This article successfully challenges this notion by showing that when you get police officers out of uniform and off the job they tend to be just as professional or unprofessional as the average citizen.

Again, police officers do not posses superior traits that make them more qualified to use firearms than we honest law abiding citizens are. This is what this article shows.

Lighten up, Francis...

I think it's funny to taunt the moderators, so Don Gwinn deleted my post.

what could be called a cop hater here. but the behavior during this lil event is to cops what taslhook was to naval aviators. kids that go to spring break and get rowdy aren't ussually packing. and when they commit a felony and flee they don't get help from the cops to beat the rap. police depts all over need to hold their "boys" accountable for their behavior anytime they are representing the depts. and during police week they are representing police. wanna go animal house? rent an island ban guns cameras and warn the women all bets are off. otherwise be prepared to accept that you are gonna get branded for the activities of your brothers and even more so for some poor cya. the dc chiefs public statement speaks volumes

Its just amazing that people on this forum are calling for blood when a cop gets drunk and out of hand.

Yet dozens of forum members stand side by side with militia members who are busted for growing pot, owning IED's, ILLEGAL silencers, grenades and a rocket launcher. You have forum members standing by waco and ruby ridge as well. Regardless of the conspiracy theories/facts of those cases.

You have a group of felons vs a group of drunks.

Unfortunately, as a cop, I dont like seeing my brothers act this way. I hardly drink alcohol, but Ive seen my fair share of drunk cops. A dept near here recently convicted a retired cop of DWI. No excuses, no leniancy.

If anyone knew how stressful a cops life is, between troubles at home, the horrors they see day to day and the basic dangers of the job, you can understand why cops blowing off steam is comparable to an atomic blast.

I dont like seeing my bros in blue commit crimes and get drunk and annoying. But I understand the resentment from some members as well.

And I am surprised at just how many police appologists are on this forum.

From the Article:
Many of [the visiting officers] are arrogant, belligerent and inebriated, and they violate laws at will.

So if they have a badge and commit a crime they are just "drunks" doing what drunks tend to do. Well how many of you police officers out there arrest 'drunks' every night for for commiting these same type or alcohol related crimes? You don't let them go or make excuses for them because they are just 'drunks doing what drunks do'? Then why make excuses for them becasue they also wear a badge?

As for supporting those militia fools charged by the ATF, why do you assume we all stand behind them? I am pro-gun but I am also pro-law. I stand behind people that follow the law and oppose people that break the law, even if those law breakers are cops themselves. I also stand behind the law itself when it is applied and used properly. If those militia guys did break the law and they were apprehended legally then yes they should go away. The same holds true for police officers. If they break a law and are apprehended legally then they too should be punished just the same as the people they arrest for the same offenses.

I'm glad that our fine police officers are buddying up with our fine Federal government, and learning the ways of the jungle from them.

Or the jungle juice, or something.

Aaaand with that the thread goes whimpering to the peace of the grave.

Seriously, what is going on? If you don't want to stay on the High Road, you just don't belong on this board. It's not just a catchy slogan.
