Superintendent and surveyor for a large general contractor.
We build prisons, military barracks, convention centers, water treatment plants, high-rises...all kinds of stuff. If it's big, we build it.

The business card says:
Senior Technical Specialist
HPC Clusters (Linux and AIX)
For those that don't see that TLA, HPC=High Performance Computing..

Basically, what used to be built by Cray, et al.., is now often built
out of commodity parts.. Several vendors in the game, but its
not an easy one.. (also, for those of you in the industry, you
can probably figure out who I work for from that!)

I've been working around/with HPC machines for 20 years.. and I got my
first Unix account 32 years ago in August.. :what:

Later,
Steve

As a surveyor for 25 years before I changed careers, I just want to remind you to mention that surveying is the second oldest profession. :D

Night: (polite version) Living a John Norman inspired lifestyle. soon to be full time.

I have a T-shirt that says that! You know what they say about surveyor's: "We really know our stakes.":D

We Surveyor's even have our own National Monument: Mt Rushmore! George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln...all surveyors, but not Roosevelt (not sure why he's there?)
