Well new to me anyway, found this while out browsing the other day and couldn't pass up the deal. The finish is in great shape, the only real blemishes are an idiot mark from reinserting the slide stop and a small scratch on the slide just forward of the dust cover.

Oh and it shoots great, I need to get my hands on some full power loads though.

:what: I have always liked the CDE pistols, tastefully tactical, every now and then one or two pops up around here for $1300-$1500 in a lot worse shape than the beauty you got, even decent 70 series are around here go for at least $800. You have to love that stupid shell casing fingerprint law in MD

Let me know if you need a "baby" sitter for that Colt. :) That's nice!

My word, I've been sitting here dreaming about this pistol for like 20 minutes!

I really need to get a life...or a new Colt pistol. :)

That's beautiful. Those would appear to be the original grips (I have 3 DE's). That is a later, enhanced DE (the undercut on the trigger guard) — the early ones didn't have that hammer or trigger (and I'm not sure those are original, you will have to check with somebody who knows the Enhanced model better than I).

RRTX,
I saw that one (and looked it over) at the gun library. Glad to see it went to a good home!! I thought about it, but just couldn't get myself to purchase a gun in yet ANOTHER caliber (I don't have any 10mm's). Make sure and wipe my fingerprints off!!!

I was wondering about the undercut trigger guard, wasn't sure if it was factory or had been done by a gunsmith. I had seen some mention of an "enhanced" model, but haven't seen any real info on the difference. I'm almost positive that is not the factory trigger, but I'm not sure about the hammer. The factory dual spring recoil setup (that I hear is crap) has been replaced with a FLGR and what has to be a 22 or 23lb recoil spring.

Fburgtx, thanks for leaving it there for me lol  Though I'm not sure my wife has that same opinion lol.
