' been awhile since I checked on here, I'm just wondering if 8 or 10rd Saiga12 mags are available now. If they are, where can I find them. Thanks!

I highly recommend only buying a small number of third-party magazines to test, rather than buying a pile only to find some sort of problem, later.

While I don't regret my purchase, all of the 10-round AGP magazines I bought have a tendancy to "feed low", jamming the front-middle of the shell into the bottom of the lower feed ramp. Essentially, all my mags seems to need some adjusting of the feed lips to achieve a steeper feeding angle. Last time I was at the range, I'd shot 150 slugs out of one AGP mag with no failures, so they're great for the range. Any time I let them sit loaded, locked into the S-12, the first round jams against the bottom of the feed ramp consistantly! Thankfully, this does not occur with the 5-round magazines I own, which have fed reliably every time.

So, treat those third-party mags as great for the range or as a product needing a little TLC before being used for potential self-defense!

Okay, just one more question...well...maybe just one more ( :) ), What is the bare minimum mods do I need to do, to make it legal for my stock Saiga12 to accept a 10 round mag?
Thanks again!

Your Saiga can legally accept a ten round magazine out of the box. Ten rounds isn't "high capacity", so there's no issue.

The drums worries me. The ATF has basically said that if anyone made a drum for the Saiga, they'd classify it a Destructive Device (like the Striker-12 and USAS) and ban it. I guess we'll see if they were bluffing or not. One of those drum makers says he has a letter of approval from the ATF, so I guess we'll see!

His letter is for his piece of mind because it only addresses whether he can manufacture and sell. The letter does not address whether the use of such a device will trigger a reclassification action of the Saiga 12. I hate to see it happen, but plan on seeing the Saiga 12 become an NFA Destructive Device within 12 months because of the new drums.
