I am sure that all CMH recipients richly deserve the medal. All have performed unbelievably heroic deeds. Still, there some are more amazing than others. Desmond Doss is one that deserved an even higher award.
The sad thing is that many have performed as bravely or even more bravely, and never received recognition.
As nearly every one of the recipients will tell you, they wear the medal for others that deserved it too.
How can any serviceman that charged into certain or near certain death while scared beyond belief not deserve it. God bless them all. Only He knows the real stories.
