The New Ron Paul Thread

Ron Paul gets my complete and undivided support. I don't trust any of the others.

I wonder what effect it would have if we all called or wrote our Senators & reps and requested that they followed Ron Paul's example?

Ha.

I also posted this in the voting thread. But here's a link.

Titled, 'We are missing an opportunity."

No supporters outside of gun boards. Nope, none.

EDIT: Ah, crap. You have to be a member. Well, here's the text of the first post.

I really don't see the 2nd Amendment discussed on here, but I think we are missing a big opportunity by not going after the anti-gun control crowd. Ron is the biggest supporter of the right to bear arms and we should inform gun enthusiasts about this. I think we should all discuss the 2nd Amendment and Ron Paul on pro-2nd Amendment forums (make sure you rack up a few posts before slipping in Ron's name). Here are some large forums that I have found. Please add any more large ones that you can find.

Gun and Game Forums - http://www.gunandgame.com/forums/

Plans to spam? Sure. But they are dedicated and 14,500+ strong at this point.

And there were a bunch of bumps and posts of 'great idea!'.

Which City is that? I am pretty sure there are more of us than we think.
The Fox Text messages were about 10,000, The Anuzis effect had 18,000+ signers.
1000 showed in Iowa for a rally, Hundreds in KC.
There are those that don't register or sign up, but still support him.
And the grassfire is still growing.

Just as an FYI:
Dr. Paul said he wouldn't run an Independent campaign. He said nothing of accepting a third party nomination.
IAC, I will write him in if he's not on my ballot.

You guys are lost

Voting for Ron Paul is a wasted vote. I have libertarian leaning tendencies also, but what many of you do not recognize is he's also being supported by those anti-gun nazi's on the left simply because he is against the war!!!! He has absolutely ZERO shot of winning anything besides his own congressional district. You are wasting your time, your money, and you are actually hurting your cause. The guy speaks almost as bad as Bush does, and soon he will not be invited to any debates (hopefully) because he's such a non-factor. He's not going to get more than 1% in any primary outside of Texas and maybe NH no matter how much money he has (which isn't much).

Why not support a pro-2A candidate that has at least a 10% chance of winning?

A vote for Ron Paul, if he runs third party, is a vote for Hillary. I could justify voting third party if a new movement arose that had a shot, but unfortunately libertarianism is dead.

New Member said,

Because there is NO other Pro 2nd, candidate.

The fact that he is supported by people from both sides is the reason he will win.

WHO CARES if there are folks out there who support him because they like his $12 HAIRCUT??!! In 30 years the man has not sold out once. Why would he sell out to the antis?

Btw you just made the point that he has support from the right and the left.

How many new and novel ways can we support Ron Paul?

How many ways can we Ron Paul enthusiasts invent to support and promote Ron Paul and his constitutionalist message?

Here's a few:

- send money to his campaign
- vote in polls
- pray for him/call a dial-a-prayer line for him
- blog for him
- complain to journalists/media outlets about their bias
- write your congressman and request they follow Ron Paul's example

Any others?

What another Ron Paul thread? So what will be discussed in this post that was not covered in one of the dozens of other RP threads? Seriously can these candidate topics be moved and posted in one of the Activism forums. Its tiring always having to weed through all the redundant RP, and Fred threads to get to something more interesting.

If you don't want to wade through it, don't click on the title. Threads about presidential candidates don't fit in the Activism forum. They do fit in L&P.
However, you, unlike me, don't have to read them.

how many times do I have to read this broken record crap?

But he isnt running third party. He is running as a Republican. Voting for him in the Republican primary does not hurt our cause, nor does it help Hillary.
But, depending on how tight Fred and Rudi are running, it could elect Rudi to run against Hillary.

how many times do I have to read this broken record crap?
Plenty. :D
I just tune it out. Even if Hillary does win due to my jumping ship, it's only marginally worse than one of these other "Republican" jokers getting the nod due to my voting for the lesser of two evils.
If he siphons off my vote (in addition to millions of others nationwide), the Republican party will be forced back on track.

Wasted Vote Cop Out

Most apathetic, clueless Americans still think they're free and vote for whoever is leading in the polls..."I don't wanna waste my vote on Ron Paul because he'll never win". How selfish and complacent...etc....

Send a message to your precinct delegates and vote to reinstate our nation's Constitution and Bill of Rights.:cuss:

Why do people voluntarily click into a thread and then ask for it to be shut down?

Regarding voting for Ron Paul. I have voted for the lesser of evils too many times. From now on, I no longer vote for evil of any kind.
