I think that may be some sort of modified 870 or one of the pump action rifles because he clearly has a magazine protruding from under the elevator, just foward of the trigger guard.

I'll bet money, he calls remington telling them "I don't know what happened I was just shooting some bird shot and the barrel came apart......And, Remington wanting to keep their customers happy will send him a new barrel and a box of shells with a letter saying how sorry they are that he experienced a problem with one of their guns".....

Too bad there's no way to "flag" Remington that they should be on the lookout for this coming back....

I'm not entirely sure those guys fully understand the depth of their own stupidity and just how galactically foolish (and lucky) they truly are.

At least (assuming no other damage) they only have to replace the barrel and they're good to go again (now that's a scary thought!!).

The magazine? It is an after-market...Knoxx. There are other companies too that manufacture 10-round magazines (like pictured) for Mossbergs and Remingtons. They also have a drum magazine. Knoxx also manufactures Remington 870 Tactical stocks.

Knoxx sidewinder was made for the 500, and went infront of the reciever, not out the bottom of it.

Remington makes a .223 and .308 rifle that looks like the 870 and takes the 7400 & 7600 mags. I wonder if that is not the beast we are looking at?
