Anyone here tried the new Alpine Archery Silverado Sabre? A friend recently offered to get me a great deal on one of these bows. They have gotten some really good reviews and advertise 325 fps!!! I just want to know if anyone here has any real world experience with these new bows. Probably won't get many responses since they just came out in April. Thanks in advance.

+1 on the Hoyt

Sorry I cant help either. Just make sure it will fit you.
I onlly shoot Hoyt to make all the Mathews guys nuts.
They are kind of like alot of the Glock guys I know.:neener:

Never heard of it either. I too am a Hoyt guy! If a Hoyt's out of your price range, take a look at some of their lower priced Reflex bows. Same great manufacturer, just a little more economical. If Chuck shoots 'em, they've got to be good. Right?

Don't pay too much attention to advertised speed on bargain bows. You don't want a lightning fast bow that's so loud when you release you spook everything out of the woods and cause your target to jump the string. At 60lbs, my bow shoots just a hair under the 300 fps mark, but it's very quiet, very smooth, and deadly accurate.

What is a Hoyt?

I haven't heard of them either, BUT-- I shoot a Mathews! Got to. Not to drive the Hoyt guys nuts though, they are already that way! :neener:

As for the Alpine, just make sure you can get one to fit you, or it won't matter if it is free. It doesn't fit, you won't be worth 10 cents with it.
(If it doesn't fit, you must aquit!) I just kill me sometimes. :D

Did my research and found out that Alpine Archery makes alot of competition bows. They have gotten some really good reviews. I woouldn't call them a bargain bow, because the bow I am getting lists at around $750 for a naked bow. I'm sure there are more expensive bows out there, but it far outside the bargain range. I'll post a link to the bow I am getting. Thanks for the info guys.
