Jeff Cooper represented American RKBA quite well back in his day. Looking forward, we will see a lot more faces like this: female, non-white, non-Christian. All the stereotypes which the antis love to trot out ("lynch-happy aging rednecks") fall to reality of high school students, many of immigrant parents, embracing the rights which they and their ancestors could not have enjoyed back there.

This young lady came out to a few of our shoots and did extremely well with AR15 and HK91. Somebody said that G3 action kicks too hard...I guess she forgot and managed to run three magazines through at once, asking for more when done. She did quite well with all other types. Her 6 year old brother stays with Walther P22 and 10-22 (twoblink's), reiterating safety rules to all adults who would listen.

Go find Americans who have not yet tried marksmanship and invite them to join in the fun!

Excellent! Even without any kind of caption, it speaks volumes.

And as a side note, I like the grip she has with her right hand. So many of your other models have a way of holding their weapon that just irritates me. I can't really put my finger on it. I guess it seems they have a broken or limp wrist and hold the gun too tight to their body. It's almost as if they're afraid they might offend the viewer and so they keep the weapon tight to themselves. This lady is holding hers loud and proud. The muzzle extending beyond the frame also adds to the effect.

Very nice.

i'm in love!

that is an EXCELLENT picture, both of gun and girl. she does not look like she is posing with the gun, but rather is one unit with the rifle.

too many other models wrap themselves around the gun as if it were an oiled pole.

I'm a 33 year old Christian on the redneck side and I hope, at the end of the day, people like me and the model and anyone else like her are all on the same side... Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, and the Second Amendment. It's all about being an American.

Nothing against rednecks -- I am working on my own sunburn now -- just that we aren't all of American gun owners. We'd be easier to marginalize if we were.

"So what do you have against us aging rednecks ? "

Don't worry Tallpine, Oleg has made some for us too.

LOL...Good stuff!

I only consider myself a fraction of a redneck...While I live in Southern Indiana the town I live in is not too redneck, but there are some adjacent towns around that are, and I always have the most fun hanging out with my buddy's from these towns...

I guess rednecks just have more fun.:D

They always make the best shooting buddy's too, because they grew up being able to shoot out of their back yards so the 4 rules are instilled into their brain, and THEY ALWAYS HAVE LOTS OF GUNS TO PLAY WITH!

That is a gorgeous picture.

For some reason, something about the pose seems almost doll-like. Like a posed Barbie doll almost.

Nice work.

This "Barbie" is an honors/AP student, has a black belt in karate and, overall, shows character of rather greater maturity and graciousness than typical of 17 year olds. I did not pose her, this stance was her own.

Nice photo, Oleg, as always.
You do fine work.

But I'm still waiting on the levers ...
(What IS this obsession with semi-autos?)

And I ain't no freaking red neck.

I don't have any lever actions. I can think of only one person around here who has a 30-30, the rest prefer semi-autos and bolt actions. But I might scare up a falling block for you.

I remind you of the number of lever actions still prevalent in this country.

From what I hear, more deer are taken every year with
the "lowly" <cough> thirty thirty than with AK, AR, SKS and bolts combined.

Translation: if you want to appeal to gun owners re RKBA,
- and that is ostensibly your goal - then bite a bullet and
make the effort to take some pictures with levers.

Semi-autos may be cool and all
(personally, I think they're overrated)
but they aren't levers,
and levers are way cooler.

Just an opinion, of course.
No truth implied.

Respectfully,

Nem

Levers are also not in as much danger as semi-autos. I am trying to popularize the concept of them being everyman's guns.

I'd suggest leaving the barrel
sticking out the lower right,
as in the original.

Otherwise, it's good.

{Added by edit:
on second look,
her hands look too pale
(washed out by flash?) in that photo.
Almost sickly looking.
Some tone adjustment could help ...}

nice image, looks like a good kid. :)

first layout is better.

I get the point of normalizing EBRs - makes sense I think to put your focus there. I think Nem's just getting impatient for his new Marlin to show up. :p
