That's not a fair comparison. The G19 is the compact version of the full size G17. A better comparison would be the CZ-75D PCR which is the compact, lightweight, alloy version of the 75B. IMHO the PCR is a better choice than the G19. The G19 is a great gun, but you must like the Glock trigger system. I don't. My PCR is very accurate and has a nice, clean and fairly light trigger.

Wel, that's the numbers from the respective manufacteres websites. The G17 weighs 2 ounces less than the CZ-75B, carries one more round, is longer, but skinnier. And it comes in plastic, while the CZ is steel framed. BTW, 2oz is about the weight of 5 9mm JHP rounds.
Go to the SPO1, and the differances are bigger, with the 2 extra rounds the SPO1 carries, being longer, heavier and taller.
Now we switch to the compacts, and you see the G19 and PO1 with the CZ-75 Compact as control, being a steel framed sidearm. The G-19 carries one more round, is shorter and skinnier, but the Glock is heavier than the PO1. The Compact is longer and wider than the G-19, but only 4.1 oz heavier, even being steel frame.
Everyne keeps telling me that the Glock is so light weight compared to any other sidearm - patently untrue, sorry. Darn funny it's HEAVIER than my PO1.

I can only relate my own experience: When I first got my CZ 75 SP-01 I shot 300 rounds through it; not one FTF/FTE. It ate all kinds of ammo w/o a problem. The same was true of my CZ83 and 75B.
I’ve also had an excellent experience with CZ rifles – both rim- and centerfire.
If I were a dealer I’d sell them.

Excellent choice, I trust my life to a CZ, its my carry piece.
The P-01 is on my short list, and I definately think it is a good weapon. But it would be blatantly misleading to say that it is lighter than a G19. I'm not sure where you are getting your weight statistics for these CZs, but CZ shows the statistics for their handguns on their website - and they are not what you posted.
1lb = 16oz.
CZ's own website shows the P-01 at 1.7lbs.

1.7 x 16 = 27.2oz. not 20.4oz.
CZ 75B compact is 2.1lbs.
2.1 x 16 = 33.6oz. not 25.2oz.

I thought the Glocks were lighter than the CZs. I never took the time to weigh them or look up the stats but ever since getting my Glocks, I have noticed that they are lighter than almost every other gun I have owned.
Let me explain something. I have been shooting for over 20 years and I have only now started to like Glocks. I have owned Glocks in .45acp and I was never much impressed with them. It was not until this summer that I bought my first 9mm Glock (G-17). I shot it and I liked it. Within a few weeks, I had three more 9mm Glocks! G-19, G-26 and another G-17.
The G-17 2nd gen seems to be what I shoot the best but the other G-17 and G-19 are really good as well. I have not had a single problem with any of them and they all point well for me. The G-26 is my least fav and I don't think it will ever take the place of my S&W M-38.
Anyway, I always hated Glocks but now I am starting to like them. They are cheaply made compared to a SIG or A Beretta but they do work. They seem to either be loved or hated. I hated my .45acp Glocks but love my 9mm Glocks.
That is why they make so many different guns. I say, give everything a try without pre-concieved ideas and you will benefit in the long run. You may not like some guns from a maker but they may have other guns that are right up your alley. Most makers offer something I like so I can not be too brand loyal.

Yep, by 22 hundredths of an inch. Also Glock 17 is taller than CZ-75, by a larger margin than it is slimmer.

That's not as significant as you might think. The CZ grip is ergonomic, designed with some consideration to the human hand; the Glock is more like a wooden board with rounded corners.
Ergonomics is the main reason why I am interested in the P-01. Fits the hand like a glove. The glock is a tool - lightweight, high capacity, great grip angle for me, and honestly the blockiness doesn't bother me - helps me get a good grip with my support hand. On the other hand, the P-01 is just about as perfect as one could get in terms of grip ergonomics. It just conforms to my hand as though it were a part of it. Now if they just came with ready-to-go triggers. I have yet to find a DA auto trigger as nice as my P226 Elite. (which will be even better after its trip to SIGarms).
