Sigs new Platinum Elite series

New from Sig, not up on their site yet.

226 Platinum Elite:

Bead blasted slide with ground side flats (Equinox style)
“Platinum” engraving on right hand side
“Custom Shop” engraving left hand side
SRT Action type
Combat adjustable SIGLITE sights
Machined Aluminum grips installed

Thought you all might like to see these. The pic is a bit crappy, I blame the camera, but the grips come close to matching the bead blasted portions of the slide.

I'm a Sig dealer and have had them on order for months. They showed up today out of the blue. I got a 226 in 9mm and .40, and the 9mm sold really fast. I've got 229's in 9mm and .40 on order as well as a 220. It's just a new model from Sig, very new. I really love the grips. Very solid purchase on the gun. The grip feels much tighter than the usual polymer grips.

d4rryl- PM me for a price if you're interested . I'm holding off on posting an ad in the classified for a shipment of CZ's.--I want to keep my ads consolidated. I just wanted to get a pic up because they're so new.

Ditto, and I'm a Sig nut. I'm sure there's a lot of work in that finish, but that's a little "blingy" for my tastes in guns.

Yeah They look nice, but the word "Platinum" down the side is too much like spinners to me.....

I DO LIKE THE IDEA OF THE ADJUSTABLE REAR SIGHT...

Cute, but not my style. I wish Sig would focus on function rather than looks. They have a great product and if they want to improve on the product work on design function and materials.

I think that if SIG removed "Platinum" from the slide they would have a winner. Owners could change out the grips to something that suited them.
 
The Equinox must have done so well they decided that thats what people want. The problem is you can over do it-obviously. A bit much for me.
 
Once again a gun company screws up the two tone.
BLACK SLIDE SILVER FRAME is the proper way!!!!!!!!!
 
I've gotta say, I really favor the original, all-black, no-rail sigs.

It's a gun who's very purpose driven appearance says "I am not here for the beauty contest, I am here to perform a task, and perform it well, please stand aside.".
