I just moved to Redlands, CA. I am interested in taking a rifle and/or handgun safety class offered at a range, but want to shoot in the meantime. Does anyone here know the area and whats offered?

Thanks,
Nick

About a 2 hour drive from you is Iron Sights shooting Range in Oceanside CA, they have a website. With Beginners and Advanced shooting Classes, they also do a women only class. Think it's $45.

Rainbow Range is south of you off the 15 on rainbow vally blvd, south of Temecula.

Rick Courtright over on the Ruger forum (www.rugerforum.com) lives in Redlands. Go over there and check with him.

I understand from him, the small NRA range east of there where I learned to shoot a shotgun is now houses. I'm guessing the trap range on Orange Blvd at the Santa Ana wash, north edge of town, is still around but I've been wrong before.

Not listed are the Sheriff's range up the 215 in Glen Helen, and when it's not fire season, you can shoot in the mountains off highway 330 with an adventure pass ($5) (forgot the actual turnoff mile marker number ) And up in Crestline area is a nice range for members only.

Been to the highland fish and game one a long time ago. Was fine and looks likes it's in better shape by the pictures.

Welcome to Cali!

I'd definitely checkout www.calguns.net - outstanding place for info on every aspect legal & practical of owning firearms in California.
And we even have the occasional zombie thread.
I'm the same user name there so come on over and say hi.
