Here's to the Glock 27, a tribute to one of the finest firearms Glock or any other manufacturer has ever made.

! You deserve it...

I bought a Glock 27 a little over a week ago and I am still drooling over it. I carry it everywhere with me in my Milt Sparks VMII, which I bought from lightning arms sports (I got super lucky, they happened to have them in stock - even in the right color and belt loops size). I took many pictures and want to share them, and maybe convince a few people to pick up their own Glock 27. I have owned three glocks - a G19, G23, and now G27, and I can say that although the 23 is a fantastic firearm, the G27 conceals much more easily and I can shoot it just as accurately. I bought the G27 from a law enforcement dealer because glock now sells at a discount for EMS/FF personel. So anyone who is in EMS/FF, please take that into account before you purchase from a regular dealer. I got mine stock for $398.00 and added Tru Glo night sights to it with free installation (By the way, I've had stock glock night sights and meprolight nights sights, and these are by far my favorite.)

Tru Glo night sights, light makes them glow a very bright green which makes target acquisition very quick, while at night they glow just as well as Mepros or Trijicons, maybe even brighter... that is just from my personal experience.

Milt Sparks VMII in black horsehide with 1.5" loops, with a Sharkskin 1.5" made by TheBeltMan - I HIGHLY recommend TheBeltMan, he is fantastic...

Best wishes and be safe!
Kevin

Very nice set up. Good to see Glock giving EMS and FF's a break. Thanks for the specifics on the holster, i'm thinking about getting a G26 and i'm sure that would work just as nicely for it.

Thanks for the pictures.....I have the G26 and absolutely find it a breeze to conceal carry... It is hard to go wrong with a subcompact Glock... Good luck with yours...

That's a nice conceal setup you have. Thanks for the holster, belt and sight info. I have a G26 and am looking for a new holster. I have been considering the Tru Glo sights for awhile now for my G23 and XD45. I have Meprolites on 2 other Glocks and am wanting to try something different.

I have a 26 and love the size! I know have a hard time carrying ANYTHING else. It vertually disapears with NO printing even when you try :) Sweat dont matter either :)

Where did you get that holster? I am looking at purchasing this EXACT gun.

What is everyones opinion on the G26, which is just the 9mm version of this pistol. I've heard "rumors" that the G27 has a "snap" to it since it fires .40 and that the G26 is much more controllable...

Opinions welcome.

Kashton, I just wanted to thank you for posting this thread on your new concealed carry rig. It got me to thinking that I need to upgrade my IWB holster and belt and gave me good info on where to purchase. Please keep us posted on how the TFO's are holding up.

Nice! I have the Glock 33 and have been looking for a good IWB holster for it. I'm thin like you (5'10, 160 lbs), and want to make sure it doesn't print. That appears to work quite well for you.

Thanks guys! The TFO's are perfect, I love them. They are great at the range during the day and also at night. Glad I could help :)

Not really. The 27 is about like shooting a 26 loaded with +p's. Both are excellent ccw guns.

So I purchased the G27 (and love it), but is it really going to take me twenty weeks to get that IWB holster?!

Anyone got a used one for sale? :)

Ehhhh.. i dunno about the comments on the G27 recoil. The G26, even with +P ammo, is noticeably more controllable than the G27 shooting "normal" .40 rounds. I sold my G27 because it wasn't exactly comfortable to shoot after about 100 rounds. The .40 mags also hold one less than advertised. They are advertised at 9rd capacity, but only hold 8 before the mag starts to flex outwards by trying to force a 9th round in it. With the +1 Pearce grip extension it will hold 9 in the mag + 1 in the pipe. The G26 will hold 10 w/o the Pearce extension, and 12 with. IMO, 9mm is just a better round for the Glock sub-compact. 13 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 9mm in a totally controllable platform like the G26 is definitely nothing to snuff at.

I can easily fit 9 rounds in my magazine with no problems

This is interesting to me..I'm not doubting you, but it makes me wonder why my G27 and several others' only fit 8. Does anybody else have anything to say about this?

Nice setup, nice gun. A bit small for my paws, though unless I have the Pearce grip extenders. Even then...might opt for the G23.

But glad it works for you!:D:D

Mine fits 9

I agree totally.
There's noting better and surely a lot worst.
I don't use and extender and still find the recoil very managable.

very nice set up, i am not a big baby glock fan, but i will defiently be taking advantage of the glock discount for military after this deployment and getting a 19. i like that holster alot and that might mean i might have to check that one out to use with my xd sc. thanks for sharing.

No problems with 9 here either. In the beginning, it definitely took a little more pressure to get that 9th round in but once the mag has been used a little it is no problem.

We should start a skinny-guys' thread
.
