Given your current collection of polymers (specifically the G19 and M&Pc), I would push you toward one of the following:

1.) Sig P226
2.) HK P7
3.) Springfield Armory EMP

If your wife asks, though...I didn't say a word.

:D

Would you believe something really simple? Just bought a Taurus 24/7PRO 9mm and am presently trying to see how long (how much ammo) it will go before needing some cleaning! So far it's chewed up about 350 rds in about 2 months. They all go into a teacup at about 30ft. 25yd?---forget it, prosecutor will say he's no threat that far away!

Wah Wah Wahhhhhh...

Despite what you may believe about your "all knowing , All killing Short ten millimeter" fact remains if i shoot 30 40's at my target and miss then I've done nothing, but 2 or 3 well placed nines will do it, I assure you. A bigger bore is no substitute for training and range time. :neener:

RevolverMan, you should indeed buy a hi-power, a cz,a sig 226, and a beretta (and don't forget the P7) so your fiance can have the opportunity to try a variety of guns on her own schedule, and eventually pick the one SHE likes and wants to keep. You will also have the chance to try them yourself, and pick the one YOU prefer out of the ones she declines. You can also assure her that you'll dispose of the ones both of you don't want to keep. Just don't tell her WHEN you'll dispose of 'em. ;)

See, that way it's more of a short term loan on your debit card rather than a permanent outlay, and is the best way to make a sound decision on a highly complex question. Plus, your buying more than one gun is actually a SERVICE to her. Something she should appreciate. And something that will avoid the trouble and expense of her having to hunt us all down like dogs. :D

SW-MP or Taurus 24/7

I have both of these in a 9mm. I have never had a failure with either gun. I bought the the Taurus 24/7 for my wife. We have put a little over 2000 Rds through it and never a problem. Reliable and accurate gun. I was not all that surprised though. I owned two Taurus .40 cal 24/7's never a hiccup and very good shooters. The MP 9mm is mine. I like the grip a little better then the Taurus . I put a Hogue slip on grip on it and it is the Best! I did notice after about a year the ribber grips on the Taurus start to peel a bit. My Taurus24/7 .45 has an Excellent grip on it, but Taurus did not use the Ribber grip on the.45. I do prefer the MP because of the grip and a little easier to take down to clean.
Have a good one Buddy!

The Best to You and Yours!

Frank

Earlier this year when I was deciding on my full-size nine I narrowed my choices down to the Beretta 92 Inox and the CZ 75b Stainless. I went with the CZ and have been very happy with it.

Now, if I were looking to fill a second full-size 9 spot I'm not sure what I'd do. Still love the Beretta, will have to get a Hi-Power eventually, and the Sig p226 just calls my name everytime I see one! (Damn those whispering pistol voices!) Oh and I can't forget the G17, XD Tactical, CZ sp01, M&P9 and the new Ruger SR9:banghead:

In short, get the one that appeals to you most now, shoot it, enjoy it and just wait because in about four months you'll be back to figuring out which full-size you need second most.

I'll go with the CZ-75, Sig 226/229, or Browning HP suggestions.

Handle all three and see which feels best in your hand. That's the gun to buy.

The CZ 75/85 is an extension of your hand. I would compare it to being able to shoot bullets out of your finger. Get the CZ...or you'll never be complete.

Given what you have, I'd go totally different and definately get a 9mm full-size 1911 for super-accurate accurate range use. I have a Glock 17, and I'd like one of those 1911 9mm.

My vote also goes to the Hi-Power. For an all around great shooting fun gun, it's hard to beat a Hi-Power. And it's hard to beat those classical lines.

Get a BHP. A Browning Hi Power and the 9mm go together like Bogie & Bacall or, Sonny and Cher or, The Lone ranger and Silver or, Brittany and a Bare Azz. Something like that anyway.

Watch out now, your username is RevolverMan567
If you continue down this road, you might have to change it to AutoFeeder567.
:DTeeHee!:D

I just picked up a Browning Hi Power this weekend at a gun show. I also have a Beretta 92fs and a S&W M&P 9. They are all great guns, but I cannot put the Hi Power down. It shoots great. You will not go wrong with any of these choices in 9MM.

How about a FNP-9, W/three 16 round magazines, easy to shoot and easy take down for fast cleaning. OR

A Beretta 9000S 9mm, either you will love it or hate it, mines a keeper.
