Lots of info on that at the CZ Forum. If you take the hammer out of the gun, you would see the surface the sear rides up, durring trigger pull, actually has a reverse angle over 90 degrees, cocking the hammer further as you pull. If you stone the hammer, to eliminate the reverse angle, and put it closer to a 90, the camming goes away. Also removing the Firing pin block system will give you a better reset.

Can I do this or should I have it done?

Please don't take offense at this reply, but if you don't know the answer to that question then the default is probably to have someone more knowledgeable do it for ya.

Just trying to keep you safe :)

Anyway, welcome to the CZ addiction and feel free to come on over to the "official" CZ Club and chat as well.

I'm confused

Quote: My trigger is as smooth as silk.

I`m not just saying that because it`s my newbie,

I was told the same thing that you`ve stated about the triggers but it`s not true.

Dead on the money. Over and over and over. Smooth gun, no complaints, none.

If "your trigger" is as you say above, why would you want to change it?

i SAID RADIOACTIVE BECAUSE i couldn`t FIND OUT WHAT BRAND THEY ARE. They are , in fact Tritium, .

Does curiousity make me ignorant. No matter how smooth it is, and believe me, it is, there`s always room for improvement.

Oh, don`t worry, I`ll be the first to tell ya that I ain`t no gunsmith. I`ve never had to be because my friend at Extreme Outfitters is a professional gunsmith. He`s taught me quite a bit in the last few years about such things as cold and hot blueing and some other small project work but when it comes to repair or modifying the trigger mechanism, I`ll be letting him have it. I`m unfamiliar with the CZ`s anyway. I`ve done a few modifications on some other guns but always with his guidance. No offense but just because I don`t doesn`t mean that I can`t.

Thanks for the info. Those are some beautiful pieces that you`ve posted. Thanks again

In fact CZ installs REAL night sights only on CZ SP-01 (decocker model and on manual safety model since spring of 2006). Sights on your picture look like stock CZ sights with light rechargeable paint. :)
I hope you did not pay $100 premium for those sights...

Afraid not sir. These sights are in fact not light charged sights. If they were I`d remove them immediatly. I think that I know what I`ve bought. Also, the CZ 97 B has the same sights as mine and they are not light chargable. I don`t know if yours has these sights, if you do ,in fact own one, but mine does have the Tritium night sites.
Tritium night sights are available on most of CZ`s handguns. If you do a little research, as I`ve done for the past 6 hours, you would find that the info. that I`m giving you is correct.

I don`t have a problem with your curiousity but please try to avoid the word fact. I did, in fact buy the gun
This is the best pic I can get. The gun is straight out of the case.

Bilt4comfort,
I`ve been looking everywhere for a set of grips. I`ve found a few places but their talking about 90 days for delivery. I may have asked this question already on this forum, but do you have any suggestions? I`m looking for a maple or ash grip and also would like initials carved into them.

Ignorance and facts..

Fact; I suspect that "possibly", as not to offend your highly, younger appearing, sensitive, senses, that like many Px4's that come from the Beretta factory with the Super Nova glow sights, the dealers are swapping out those rather cheap sights, for real Night Sights, such as Trijicons, for example, as to make the gun, with the 100 - 120 dollars value of such sights, more appealing, as a "complete package" to the buyer/s, which may, or may not, have been the case with your new gun. It's no big deal, fact or not, one way or another.

AS FAR AS YOUR CLAIMS, I'm sorry, large caps can indicate yelling, and that is not my intent. But your statement of "curiosity making you ignorant" is unfounded, as no such implication was made by me, except in your reply/s to those that have legit questions or suggestions, seems more on the brink of arrogance.

As you so rightfully say, "there's always room for improvement"..

I hope this is the case up the High Road, ahead.

It may be true that the world (of guns, and such) is your Oyster but, please, give us mere mortals a, nicer, break, from time to time, otherwise, I fear you may burn the bridge between the now and later.

Lonestar, Nice collection! Spensive taste:D How do you like the PX4? Played with one at the Fun Store, and just pulling the slide back one time, knew it wasn't for me. After grabbing a handfull of safety levers, I never gave the gun a chance:)

dealers are swapping out those rather cheap sights, for real Night Sights

Sorry sir if you were offended by those mild yet truthful statements. I understand that gun dealers do sometimes "swap out" cheaper accessories for more appealing accessories but in this case they did not. CZ sometimes offers additional accessories on some of their models, it`s that simple. I made those statements in lieu of another member, not you, insisting that I did not know what I had purchased. I think that my statements were well put and to the point. Now you are making adverse comments and using words such as young, us mere mortals,etc.etc. I really got a laugh out of those comments personally but it does, however, seem that the shoes in which you`re implying that I`m wearing may ,in fact, fit you.

Oh,and by the way, I`m 37 and please let`s not turn this thread into a pissing match. I appreciate your initial input. Now let`s move on.

FACTS, including Px4

I wasn't so much as offended, but rather disappointed in your reply/s.. And yes, at 37, you are young, and your shoes show it, and IMHO need to walk up the road of life, for some years to come, in order for your other statement to have merit.

No pissing match as, if there was any going on, it came from far up stream, but rather, just some hope of a small resolution on your part as, your "fact" that "the shoes" may fit me are laughable from where I sit, far up the road of life, my friend, than you, yet still with a young heart, but with a far more open mind, and far less thick skin, than at 37yrs of young-age.

I wish you good luck in life's journey of doors and roads..

Thanks JDG, and what you experienced, feeling and cycling the slide of the Px4, was "exactly" what I felt, and did, with a CZ 75B and for the same reasons, didn't like it. And, instead, loved the ease of the slide action, the DA pull, the semi-DA pull, and the SA pull of the Px4's far smoother, less travel, trigger, along with, being a much lighter gun with no sharp edges like the CZ, being far more finished both, exterior and interior wise, including the ease of field stripping vs the CZ, along with, even, the magazines finish IMHO.

The CZ was rough, heavy, including the DA pull, and heavier spring loads in all areas mentioned, and 5300 rounds later with my Px4, without any failures, just 100%, she just gets sweeter and smoother with every shot.

The only thing I changed was the sights to Trijicons, and converted it from an F model, safety-decocker in one, to a G-model, decocker-only, and it is my favorite, and "most trusted" gun, as she has earned it both in time, round count, and accuracy, and all around forgiveness.

I know CZ's are great guns, of that I have no doubts, as many of my range buddy's shoot them, and have let me shoot theirs, and yep, they're real accurate shooters IMO.

Now, not to hijack the OP's thread, I return it to him and his CZ.

I want to get my hands on a CZ badly

I can get you some info. if you`d like. Just PM me or send me a normal email to my user name address.

Lonestar, OK maybe you should find a thread dealing with one of your handguns because it seems that you`re not favoring the CZ`s and you apparently don`t have one. So thanks again for your kind comments and have a nice ay.

I think everyone must have CZ - they do wonders.
One can become an CZ expert just buying one, touching another and searching internet for 6 hours :)

But the pictures of targets you posted are great.
Are you sure it was 50 yards and not 50 feet? or you used gun wise?

My Compliments JDG

Quote: Congrats on the new CZ! They are hard to outshoot. Heres my humble collection My CZ gets used the most, along with my 22/45

:what: Wow, I didn't catch/realize, that those were your guns.. My compliments in return.

And to be clear, I don't own a CZ.. yet, ;)

On my continuing journey of great guns to own and shoot

Congrats on your CZ, W, enjoy..

Alot of shooters are put off by the military grade triggers on the 75Bs, and that
is what they measure all CZs by.

MY RAMI has smoth trigger and my 75B Stainless triger is both smooth and crisp after getting a work over by a talented Gunsmith at CZ-USA.

I've also found the triggers on P-01s to be far better than those of the
75Bs.

Thanks lonestar! My next gun will be either a P01, or a PCR. I kick myself in the a$$ for letting a trade in at Cabelas slip through my fingers. They had a LNIB PCR for $350. The more I handle the P01, the more I like it, but I like the slim nose on the PCR. Decisions, decisions:D

I know why.. lol

It's all there.. like a beautiful woman.

Yummy decisions are good for ya.. :D
