So everyone have a "nightstand gun"? Picture thread!

I don't have a night stand, but I sleep with a Colt's commander, .45 ACP, Under the Pillow, cocked and locked, in a thumbsnap holster. The wifey sleeps with a LtWt Commander under her pillow. Before the safety Nazi's have a stroke, I have slept every night for the Past 29 years with that gun under my pillow and not once had a close call, neither has the wife.

In the corner are three 870's. In the closet are other longer range things. My son (17) has a 44 mag trapper in his corner along with a Model 37 Ithaca. The ammo is in a five button safe for him and the daughter, who has left her model 39-2 smith alone and moved up to a Para 13-45 limited, has the mags in the same style safe,

Hidden around the house are a few old S&W M10's and M13's You gotta know where they are, and even then, you gotta know how to get them out. Once you know the secret, they are within reach in a heartbeat.

This is my old IPSC .45, through which I shot thousands of rounds without ever one malfunction. All handloaded ammo too.

Now relegated to nightstand duty, I am still very comfortable with it and can accurately empty a mag in short order, although I am still firmly in "double tap" mode, hehehh.............

Nightstands are too far to reach. I prefer to have a holstered weapon be closer at hand.

Doc, that's a cool idea, using the matress handle-loops like that.

Here's mine ('scuse the mess. I took the pic when I just moved in here.)

There must be a thread for this somewhere else, because I swore I had posted on this thread. Oh well..

Here is my new one. With having a son now, I wanted something that wouldn't penetrate quite so many walls. I have the 197 ammo in it.

No nightstand, just contents . . .

Allthatismissingisanightstand.gif

A short sword, Makarov, Ruger Alaskan, and Saiga .308

The sword and rifle lean, the Mak lives in a fobus paddle holster tucked in the bed frame, and the Ruger is in the Ruger shoulder holster (that was so worthless it has been tied to the bed to become a bed holster).

1) Ruger SP-101, bobbed hammer, Crimson Trace grips. (Federal SJHP)

2) Para-Ordnance C-6 (Federal XFMJ)

3) Charter Arms Undercover .38 (Federal +P)

These three are sort of around the house in strategic places. Pics later.

*Actually, pic later, as the SP101 is the only one I don't already have online.
