I am interested in hearing some feedback from anyone that has used the Mueller Quick Shot™ 1x22x33 Red Dot Optic (Mueller #MQS12233).

This is the open style, not the tube style of red dot optic. I have seen several reviews of some of their other scopes, and these reviews seem to be favorable.

My daughter wants to put an open style red dot optic on her deer hunting shotgun, a 20 gage Mossberg 500C. The reviews on the Bushnell optics of this type were less that encouraging; ATN was a bit better in the reviews, but still indicated problems with recoil shutting off the sight.

I think the Mueller optic may be OK, but would like to hear from actual users of this optic.

Burris and Eotek are a bit rich for her pocketbook.

Just bought one form my AR-15. Love it. Very clear, accurate and priced right. I purchased my a wee bit cheaper at sportmens guide, but it was shipped straight from the mueller factory. I have two of there scopes and now the quickshot. I like all of them very much.

FYI, Mueller charges full MSRP on their web site so as not to undercut their dealers. The member prices at SG are very good. (durn, they are going to take MORE of my money).

I have (4) four Muellers. It's not that they are as good as the top of the line scopes. It's that they are very good and an excellent value for those of us on a budget.

Another thumbs up for Mizzoumule Guns as a source. I got my Eraticator scope from them in 3 days for about $30 less than from the manuf.

FWIW, once I found out that Mueller's line is made in China, I contacted them and was told they have U.S. personnel on site to oversee quality control. From the two scopes of theirs I now have, I can believe it.

I don't think too much about them...They are not bright, not sharp, and cost too much for what you get....Bought a Tasco World Class for half the price, also made in China, and got twice the quality.....

First I have no experience with the model you are interested in but I do have some experience with Mueller's. From experience I believe Mueller scopes are decent for the price, better than any of the other scopes made in China that I have seen, but no where near the quality of mid priced Nikon, Weaver, or Bushenll. Mueller does have a higher end scope, the Tac II which is made in Japan, many people seem to recommend that model. Personally I found the quality lacking in the 4-16x Sport dot model I owned. First there was some excess glue around the front glass, though the general fit and finish was good. The major issue is the scope elevation adjustment failed after 60rds on a Savage .308 Win. I never bother to send it back since I was not overly impressed with the scope's optics. The optics while clear at the low end, where not outstanding as some claim. There was some distortion on the edges, and quite a lot of light fall off at the 16x power. I believe these scopes are fine for light varmint hunting, on rimfire's, and general plinking but I would not put one on a thumper rifle, or use in a situation where it wold see a lot of abuse. In this price range there are better options.

Still love my APV. One is atop my 10/22, the other was removed from my 93R17 when it sold and is going on my AR once I get some correct height rings and flip up front sight.
