Sig P250

I have one. So far its really nice. It is a tad frustrating waiting on all the cool accessories to come out. I am NOT a fan of DAO handguns with hammers. This gun has completely changed my mind. The trigger is very light and smooth, it does have a long reset, but I do like it so far.

I held this gun recently and loved the way it felt and the changeable grip size is a great idea for someone with small hands like me, hopefully I'll get one one day. I believe they were asking $530 or so for the all black model.

I handled and dry fired a Sig 250 a couple of weeks ago. The price was around $650, maybe a little less. It felt good in my hands and the trigger was light and smooth all the way through. I was impressed but I don't know if it's worth that much more than a Glock, XD, or M&P or any other plastic gun. I like the idea of a modular gun.

There was a shot of a full-size two-tone at SHOT. Can't find the pic at the moment.

I'm not sinking any money into it until all the promised "modularization" actually materializes. No "vapor-ware" for me.

EDIT: Found the pic:

Notice, longer frame and slide, different grip than a regular 250. It was easily overlooked amidst all the hype about Ruger and the ACR, etc.

I'll probably get one -Dang! And I thought I had successfully weaned myself away from plastic!

This appeals to me because, while I've always liked Sigs, I only own one because I don't like the long trigger pull on my P229. This mid-sized thin pistol sounds like a Sig that I can finally tailor to fit my hand.

I just recently bought one for $657.00 in 40 S&W large ... figure I'll upgrade from there. It's a good shooter so far - I like it a lot. Got other SIGs and it shoots as well as them, including my P229 DAK SAS. Got 1911s out the ying yang, Berettas, etc., but this 250 is a fine shooter and very ergonomic imho. I broke it in last weekend and am looking forward to shooting it again this weekend.

Now I have the itch to start adding components already.
