I was wondering, will the Kadet conversion work with the 75 compact (or the 75D PCR compact?) or just the "full size" versions?

The Kadet conversion will fit the compact nicely with a minimum of hand fitting. I used a metal fingernail file on the lugs and then painted the exposed metal from the filing with a bluing pencil. Took about ten minutes to do.

steel guide rod

I've been looking for a stainless steel guide rod for my compact but so far have come up empty. Anyone have a link to help me out?

Heres my recently aquired CZ 75 Semicompact. It has some hogue walnut grips which feel amazing, I can't say enough good things aout this pistol.

Wheres the cheapest place to buy a kadet kit from?

GOOD CZ HELP & INFO From CZ USA and PROs

I bought my first CZ a 75B DA/SA last year. It is a great shooting pistol.
I've found some shortcomings like the mag brake and trigger complaints common with their DA/SAs and others have fairly easy fixes.

All this is my leading up to recommending the CZFORUM.COM for answers to virtually any question you can think of about CZs.
Angus Hobdell has "Ask Angus" on the forum
There is a direct factory link on the forum
Jim Miossi provides facts and advice on the forum.
In FAQs they have two complete home DY action/trigger jobs with a fantastic set of pics that shows how and what to do in color.
They don't really have many members and are struggling to keep going.
Check them out if you haven't.
I'm just a new CZ Forum user and appreciate the the great CZ info source..
The "yuku" forum format could be better, but it's doable.

P.S. I've never made a recomendation quite like this, so I hope I didn't screw it up.

Thanks for the plug, 1sow! We do have almost 9000 members at CZF, and gaining more every day, but compared to THR, we are pretty tiny! We do have a lot of very knowledgable people there, that's for sure! I invite anyone who is interested in CZs to come by and take a look.

Great pics. What kind of holster is that?

CZUSA is now selling steel guide rods. I forget the exact price but they were around $18, not bad but shipping is around $9.

Anyone know a good source for a good price NIB CZ75B with 15 rounders? All my local shops can only order them with 10 rounds. Seems the ones with 15 rounders are all sold out.

What about CZ clones?

Also, not to spoil the fun, but there is a CZ forum somewhere on the NET.

I don’t own a CZ/CZ-clone yet, but I’m looking for one. For those of you who have them:
1) How do the SAO triggers compare to a 70-series 1911s (pull length and reset)?
2) Are the SA in SA/DA versions any good?
3) How easy is it to do a home-trigger-job, and what results could be expected?
All of these are out-of-the box questions since I cant afford gunsmithing.

Finally, I’m on the waiting list for an EAA Witness match 45ACP. It has gotten very good review by gun-writers, so I hope to not be disappointed with it. Being spoiled by 1911s, I am rather picky about pistols.

As to your other questions, I own a Witness Match & Stock in .45ACP, and yes, the trigger on the Match is comparable to a standard 1911.

My Stock also has a excellent SA trigger, but the DA needs some work....

The directions on DIY action/trigger jobs for CZ's would also work on the Tanfoglio guns with some minor differences. I would suggest you check out Henning Wallgrens sight as he has some videos on dis-assembly of the Witness line in his tech section.

I have no experience with the SA only versions so I cannot comment there, but as far as the SA/DA versions go the SA can be quite good. A lot of times people will do a home trigger job, or just dry fire them a few thousand times (with a good snap cap, not the ones that come with the new CZ's). The CZ-85 COMBAT and SP-01 SHADOW do not have a firing pin block so will likely have a better SA trigger than those with the FPB. A 15lb. (or slightly less) mainspring will help things a bunch too. Some people will also install a softer trigger return spring, or bend the factory one to have less tension. As far as the reset, fairly long in the SA/DA models, nothing like a 1911, and quite a bit longer than a Glock (or any striker fired gun I suppose). It's not terrible or anything, but it's there. The advantage is it's a true double action if you need to strike a primer again.

Out of the box you just can't tell, some have good triggers, some need some work. They will all have some camming of the hammer (for safety reasons), but it's easy to remove 90-95% of it with a home trigger job.

I LOVE my CZ

I've seen these semi-compacts that people have but I don't see them listed on the cz-usa web site. I was wondering if they are they still making them?

Semi-Compacts wander through every so often, not very. Nice suppressors, sir! If it wasn't such a pain/expense to get them here, I'd do the same thing, Kadet Kit and a suppressor.
Tecolte, I do know a shop with a large load of USA mag 15 roundCZ75 magazines for $10 each, will ship. But, the normal capacity now is 16 rounds. Are you in a restricted state?

Where are people getting these threaded barrels?! I would love a CZ kadet kit with a threaded barrel for a silence.

It was a DeSantis 085 Thumb-break Mini-Slide for a Beretta.
But I decided that I didn't like the thumb-break so much (and the fit was still just a bit off as well), so I took some shears to the holster and removed the top-break portion.
I rather happy with the results, and now the fit is nearly perfect.

Ooooo the CZ-75 COMBAT II !!!

I don't think any of them made it to the USA. My understanding is that worldwide there are very few, have no idea on actual numbers though.

Never see an other COMBAT II in France.
Except the other model like mine deliver by error to my gunsmith.
Probably an order send to the wrong dealer.
I'm lucky to be the first buyer in the shop when he received it
