CNN notices Duracoat for the first time.

I liked the green and black stripped AK. It was neat... sort of made me think of a jungle night.
Yeah, I'm just artistic like that :)

I love how they labeled the 1911 as a GLOCK

Man, and I always considered the 1911 design to be the antithesis of the Glock design, I didn't think anyone could get them mixed up...

If whoever put that little display together can't tell the difference between a Glock and 1911 they obviously aren't intelligent enough to tell whether it's real or not.

Naw, see, that's how insidious and Eeeeevil this DuraCoat stuff is. It can make a Glock look exactly like a 1911. Even you guys were fooled.

It also cures baldness and steals kids' lollipops, depending on what day it is.

Seriously, I've been to Lauer's in Chippewa Falls. They're good folks; I hope that the publicity brings them as much new business as they want.

Well, the cat is out of the bag; CNN's spilled the beans.

Paint should be tightly regulated.

Otherwise, the next thing you know, criminals will learn that they could just STEAL CARS and then PAINT them...who could catch them then?

It's Foolproof!

Frightening to Law Enforcement?

OK, all you COPS who read and post here...tell us how you are scared now that someone has pained his gun. Krylon didn't exist until yesterday, right?

Since painting a gun could be considered artistic and stuff, how long until the anti-gun "legal experts" start claiming the People in the First Amendment also refers only to the military? :neener:

I have to assume they think regular spray paint will not stick to firearms? "Plastic" guns ....#37 is right, Krylon Fusion would be a good choice for a Glock.

#31 nails it.

OMG!!! I just found out that thugs have discovered Duracoat. Now you won't be able to tell that they are thugs. They will be able to blend in with the rest of us!!!

They always have to have some cop give a stupid comment about some unlikely scenario that is frightening to law enforcement. It's always about what 'law enforcement' thinks that matters to the statist media.

I knew a girl who wanted a pink revolver. I looked but didn't find one to get. I showed her some pictures of the pink automatics, and she thought they were ugly.

There is something wrong here, though--and it can't be denied: Gun owners have to take responsibility for their actions. I know this won't be popular, so I'll just say it:

The owner of that "Glock" should be punished--maybe even jailed. That is--without a doubt--the ugliest gun I've ever seen.

Yup "apparently it is legal , and it's frightening to law enforcement"

Please ! What a load of BS .

Of course it's "legal" . It's personal property and personal taste .

Of course "custom " paint jobs are okey dokey for law enforcement though

'as a teacher , kids will just want to play with it " . Funny , my daughter has a camo rifle , black rifle , and pink cricket . Yet she doesn't want to "play" with any of them . She likes to "use" her cricket the most ( girly girl) . Maybe it's because she was raised to understand that a gun is not a toy , no matter what it looks like .
Now there's a concept . Education , training , and responsibility .

Whatever . Stuff like this makes me want to :barf:

Yeah, but you've been here less than a year.

There've been quite a few Reeeeal Stinkers posted here over the years!
:neener: :D

{Six, your time on board here is NOT a reason for a cheap shot...I just wanted a way to agree and emphasize the point that Yeah, there are some Wicked-ugly guns out there in the world ;) }

I was amazed they got some kind of cop to say how frightening it was. He ought to be ashamed of himself, but it did get him his 15 minutes.

An analogy, if you please...

By their logic, any "marital aid" should only be available in flesh tones because the brightly colored ones are likely to entice children if careless parents leave them within reach. What if they took it to school with them? There should be a law against that!

Oh wait, Bible Belt states like North Carolina already have laws against selling "marital aids"... I guess they'll be the first ones to ban Dura Coat, too.

interesting thought...

If you have a fancy, custom paint job on a gun then at some point maybe it transitions to art. And as we all know you can never ban art of any kind because that is protected by the first amendment and would violate the freedom of speech of the artist. I may have to become an artist.

maybe if you put it in a jar of urine it will be art. :)

Notice that hit piece showed a picture of my Hello Kitty AR15 that was taken after it was painted but before I put it together. The reporter tells the woman "that is a weapon used by the military". I wasn't aware the military used semi-auto AR15's. The outright lies in a story like this piss me off more than the anti-gun slant. Jeez, at least tell the truth while you try to spin everyone into a fearful state. :fire:

Guns aren't really your possessions. They're just on loan from the government.

Sorry, shark; not gonna happen. They're mutually exclusive.
