Estimated value on this setup?

Recently my pa gave me a box of reloading goodies....

the whole smash...

and powder...

and other stuff.

The list kinda looks like this:
roughly 100 brass cases of
.22 hornet (probly less of these)
.270 (brand new)
.243
and a good handful of .38/357 cases.

Also a box of 30-30 brass too, maybe 20ish of those.

dies for .22 hornet, .270, .243, and .38 Spec. and a few shell holders to boot.

Bullets for all above calibres, including 158 gr. .38 semiwadcutters.

lotsa primers for above mentioned cartridges.

And all the things pictured. I don't know alot about this stuff,
so I would STRONGLY suggest using the pix as a guide.
What would this whole setup bring?
Not sure if I'll keep it yet or not, depends on how my Pops feels about it.

I am going to take a real hard stab at this. I would never give any of my reloading stuff to my boys if i knew they were just going to go out and sell them. Why do you think he gave them to you in the first place. When i was a kid many moons ago. My grandfather gave some tools a lawnmower a very expensive reel trimmer and some other stuff to my father. Well in less than a month they were all sold. Some 20 years later im at one our friends house a freind of the family and in his back yard i see a lawnmower that used to be my grandfathers. I knew how it got there my father sold it. There was a lot of bad blood between him and my grandfather when that happened. Years from now i am planning on giving my sons some of my firearms and shooting equipment. I would not even think twice about not giving them anything if i think all they are going to do is sell it.

How much is it worth

Scrat said it best.

I would never sell a pile of stuff which my father has given to me, especially a pile of reloading stuff. Doesn't it make you feel a little cheap thinking about it, letting him down that way? Chances are, in his heart, he wanted to see a tradition continue. I'd say if you are thinking about it, give the stuff to a family member who will at least keep it in the family.

Estimated value? Maybe a little over $100. There's not much resale in open cans of powder and part boxes of this and that. Like the other guys say, don't think about selling this stuff unless your dad wants you to. You might not put much value on stuff you get from him now but after he's gone it'll be worth a lot more to you.

Did anyone have issues when clicking on the photo's? My computer started loading data from the server he is using. I had to hard shutdown. My anti-virus went nuts. I have never seen this before. CMDR what photo server are you using?

I agree with the above.
As far as price goes you may could tweek a couple of hundred bucks out of it if you try real hard but is it worth it?
The powder I would offer to a friend since it will go bad after some time but the tools I would lightly oil the metal parts and put it away in case your kids every show any interest in reloading.

weeeeelll...there's a little asterisk by this...

my dad has gotten into reloading 3 times now. Each time, he's not done it very much, or for very long and sold all of the stuff at the end of that time. I've spent more time on the back of my dad's dirtbike then in the reloading room.
This last time he said the heck with it, and if I wanted it I could have it.
It holds no sentimental value to me at all, given that he barely used it, and I was never around when he did. Now if he died tomorrow, that's obviously a whole different ball game. But there's many OTHER things that I associate with my dad FAR MORE then the reloading stuff he never really used.
He's also into guns a lot less then he used to be, he's got more in guitars and musical gear then in firearms, and honestly, the musical stuff is the priceless stuff to me, and to him too. If I died tomorrow, my dad would want my guitars over my guns as a way to remember me. I feel the same way.
Trust me, if these were bigtime heirlooms, and he'd been using this stuff for the last 20 years while I was growing up....there'd be no way I'd get rid of it.

I R using imageshack for hosting, never had any problems with it before.
I've used it here and a myriad of other places.
Which anti-virus?

Mcafee. I clicked on the photo. Then a pop up appeared and started opening other pop-ups. My anti-virus came up. Then my laptop froze up and needed to be hard booted. I run scans every other day. Very strange...
