The below article was an officer shot with an FN 5.7. Penetrated his upper arm and struck his vest bruising his side. The doctor said after hitting his arm the bullet tumbled and appeared to have struck the vest sideways. The arm it struck was rather large but I was glad its performance did not live up to the hipe.

maybe i'm misunderstanding, but a bullet passes through an arm, hits a vest longside and doesn't penetrate...and that's some sort of evidence that it's not capable?
