What is your Truck/ Car Pistol setup? Pics? Questions...

+1 on the Fobus floor mount. I'll try and post pictures later. The set up that I got was just the mounting brackets. It came with 2 brackets. There was a bracket to mount under a desk and a mount that works perfectly in the vehicle. You then just buy the holster that fits your gun and screw it in. I have the 1911 in the under-desk rig and the Glock 23 in the truck mount. It goes into my holster for CCW before I leave the vehicle if I'm carrying in a way that would be restricted inside of the vehicle. It is fully adjustable on a ball type socket.

Just wanted to say thanks for all of the posts.

Cobrain did you ever take those pics, I would be interested in how your set up works.

Here is my current setup when I am in the car.

.380acp Beretta loaded with hollowpoints in driver's door panel meant for maps, etc..

Also, due to number of times a car owner has been forced into their trunk by a carjacker, I keep another stashed in the trunk along with a good flashlight.

Fortunately, there is a large panel in our car's back seat which opens into the trunk for reaching supplies while on the road. And it works very easy the other direction...

I carry a gun 'cause a cop is too heavy.

P226 in the glove box, M4 carbine in the trunk. Glove box is locked when I am not in the vehicle. Keeping an awareness of anything occuring within 30-45 feet of your vehicle and having the doors locked goes a long way as well.

Handgun, Heck that goes in a holster on the off side of the belt. What stays in the rig is a short 870 with 6 rounds of buck under the seat out of site and out of other peoples mind.

Today was a H&K USP 40 owb, a Kahr P40 bug iwb, Beretta 92 in truck, Ruger Sp 101 357 mag in truck, Bersa thunder 380 in backpack inside truck, saiga ak in truck, and marlin 60 for varmints also in truck. Probably 2000 rounds of ammo in truck for these firearms.

My line of work takes me, and often my wife, into some pretty rough back country, and often into some pretty bad neighborhoods. I keep gear in the vehicle for both of us that depends on the weather we may encounter, and enough food for two or three days. I also carry a Single shot H&R barreled for 20 gauge, with a swap out .308 barrel, a Ruger Single Six in .22LR/WMR,...and an old H&R 9 shot .22 LR,.....all locked and cased,...in addition to both of our CCW pieces accessable,......figure that oughta be enuff......
