And I make about 1/4 as much as my brother in law with his HS diploma selling dog food (seriously, I make $38,000 teaching at small college and he makes $140,000 working for a dog food company).

I feel very stupid, sometimes.

Why? Would you rather be uneducated and sell dog food than teach? Money is not the only thing. Unless you are rich, and I mean stinckin' awful rich money only means but so much.

I have a BBA in Finance. Am working on my MBA. Should have it next year some time. Does me absolutely no good professionally as a career military officer in combat arms branch, but then that is okay I will retire some day.

One year of liberal arts and two years of Computer Electronics. I made the Honor Roll every semester.

I went to sko0l. Still going to sko0l.

I will be done with my initial edumacation in a few yuears. ;)

Dropped out of high school in the 11th grade (felt it was a waste of time back then and still do today) to open up a business. Worked as an aluminum structures and concrete contractor form about 18-21. Got my high school diploma from a correspondence school at 20 and began taking classes at the local community college.

Completed an AA degree in pre-med at 23 and was accepted to pharmacy school at 24. I was one of the last classes they accepted with an AA degree; although my AA degree was over 90 credit hours. Will have my PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy) next year at 27.

Upon graduation I plan on taking night classes towards a bachelors in business and then on to a JD. I’m currently looking at law schools which offer night and weekend classes so that I can continue to work full time as a pharmacist while I work towards my JD. I think I could make pretty decent money with a PharmD / JD dual degree specializing in pharmaceutical law. I’m more than half way there.

I have an AAS degree. Earned it on full scholarship.

But in my day I've taken shrapnel, been stabbed, and have been ran over by a vehichle as well. Guess some educations can't come from books, eh?

For many years I eschewed college. Went back to school well after my retirement from the Army. Sent out 200 resumes during my last semester and got no bites-too old. So I went back to doing EOD work.

College gave me the confidence and skills that I needed in order to perform the administrative functions of a supervisor or project manager. College also helped me to get along much better with others. It does my ego good that I still get a lot of good job offers at age 69. The pay is good.

BBA-1988
MBA-1997

JD Candidate- 2nd year law student

However- I still feel that the best part of my education has been actually working (both in a restaurant and as a law office clerk) because it has taught me how to interact with people, as well as how the actual practice (as opposed to academic theory) of law is conducted. I will have my degree in may of 2009.

man.... all these upper level grads are making me feel stupid. I haven't even started law school yet. Even then I'd only have a BBA and JD.

I'm going to have to apply for a JD/MBA joint program now just so I can feel up to snuff with the forum members here. :D

(or maybe I'll wait until I start working on my JD before I jump into something else.... hmm.... decisions, decisions, decisions)

High School degree a few years ago.

Working at a decent job (the pay is decent, not the job)

Thanks to a co-worker I am looking at going to school for LEO

I have a B.S. in Engineering Physics and in a short 42 days I'll have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. :what:

Don't know what I'll do after that. I'm kicking around the idea of an M.S. focusing on gas turbines, the M.B.A. thing, or just keep working on getting my P.E. and calling it good.

Dual BS in Agriculture and Business Adm. Nice thing about education is that the more you learn the more you become aware of how little you know.
