Break the ice - Part 2.

I've wanted to be a fireman since I was knee high to a grasshopper, taken the test and scored in the 90's for the past four years, go through the PT test, but always end up a few spots out. Budget cuts got me last year, went from 104 proposed cadets to less than 40. Made a 92 on the written this time, keeping my fingers crossed.

I also applied for the Border Patrol, made a 97 on that test, should have an offer soon.

I wish my current job as a self employed fence builder paid better, but it got me through college and it gave me plenty of free time, plus lots of time to hunt on the job. Number one is fireman, number two is the BP, after that I don't really know, I hate being in an office and I like to shoot, so it has to pay the ammo bills.:D

I'd like to be well paid for my opinions:D

Beer taster eould be good too.:D

Over the years I have dreamed of a biker bar a nice rides distance from the city. The sign would read:

"Daves Ice Cold Beer & Red Hot Tacos!"

My dream job would be driving F1 cars for a certain Italian company headquartered in Maranello, Italy. [Need a hint? Click on my signature, ;)]

During my days off, I'd like to have Jim Schatz's job. (He is the Director of Federal Operations for H&K Sterling.)

Dream Job?

Well, let's see:

1st, pilot of a medical evacuation Bell Jet Ranger helicopter

2nd, U.S. Secret Service Special Agent

3rd, professional baseball player

4th, head football coach at The University Of Tennessee

5th, U.S. Army Delta team member

Varied choices, most likely could have and should
have been choice #2; as law enforcement was my time
honored profession for 20+ year's. All I needed was the
college degree, and to have been hired before the age
of 37. Well, hindsight is 20/20; as I'm too damn old for
any of these except maybe position #4? And my ole' bud
Phil Fulmer is doing an excellent job; so I guess I will
retire to my front poarch and drink cold glass'es of iced
tea!:uhoh:  :D

Best Wishes,

Almost anything but what I am doing right now! Actually I'vd already done one dream job and moved on as I find it hard to keep my feet planted for very long. And I have passed all the requisite entrance hurdles for my next dream job, Foreign Service Officer with US Dept. of State, but family commitments may dictate that go on the back burner.:(

Oh well. I have long ago stopped defining myself by what I do to earn a living or care how others see me, it's only what my kids think of me as a dad and as a person that count to me.

2nd the drag racer response.

Either Top Fuel or Pro Stock

Top Fuel:
0-320 MPH in 4.7 seconds! Enough said

Pro Stock:
More action going on inside the car during the run.

Drag racing has been called 'modern day gunslingers'; re: the re-action time to the christmas tree @ the start.

BTW Funny Car guys are plain NUTS.
6000 HP between your legs on a short wheel base car; just look at John Force :D

Take Care

Oh wait, hey I get to do that now!

Just not as often as I'd like too.

Range buddy asked me when I was riding, if I got paid to have sex too.:neener:

Besides being the official taste tester at Jack Daniels, I would love to be involved in directing movies. I have an affection for what a camera can capture and a mind in understanding what it all takes for a production to come together.

Dream job . . . providing stud service to supermodels and Playmates.

Otherwise . . . pulling strings behind the scenes as part of the shadow government.

Flying a black helicopter.

hmmmm

Photographer, test driver for any sports car, tester for any gun/ammunition combination, professional runner, field hockey player, soccer player, football player, coach any of the above named sports, model(you know the ones holding the guns on the covers of magazines or on those awesome T-shirts with Molon Labe on them.), singer(except I'm kinda tone deaf so that won't work), speaker, trainer, mom, wife and a kick butt cook. too bad I don't know if any of them are gonna happen except maybe the mom and wife part. Oh well. Back to the hum drum of work.

If money were no object, I THINK I'd like to teach high school history to some bright kids. Somebody already mentioned the Jack Daniel's field tester.

1. Head electrician / light board operator for a nice 1000-1500 seat theater/road house.

2. Professional baseball player.

3. Work in a gun store ( if money was no object)

4. Gun tester
