True but sad I cant carry my pen knife legally outside a locked steel box tecnically but gangs carry m16s and aks

Why do the police carry guns? Guns aren't the answer.

Just laugh at the criminals. They can't stand it.

Seriously, though, great work, Oleg.

I'd move the buzzgun down, and the text pertaining to it up... Separate it from the revolver.

Also, a LOT of folks don't grok the "doesn't equal" symbol - Make it something college students can handle - "Gun Control sucks for Crime Control"

like it
piece in the newspaper about the reality of gangs preferred weapon is a kitchen knife:uhoh:
26 dead last year in London most under twenty.
why a kitchen knife cheap disposable and can be cached in numerous places to avoid stop and searches etc

also piece about somebody who stopped to help an assault victim got beaten for there troubles:( as carrying a weapo:(n to make these teenagers back off is illegal

+1 on that, it might be tough for some to understand the disconnect point between the first statement and associated Webley and the second statement and the associated MP-5. A lot of younger/non-gun people will not recognize the Webley as an out-of-service revolver. They will just see "gun! Gun!".

Looks really good though and I like it.

But not to worry, they load those MP5 banana clips backwards!

hahahahaha in basic we had a guy in my company load his rifle with the magazine upside down and backwards, and called a Drill Sergeant to help him figure out why it wouldn't chamber + fire!

stupid intarweb ate my post... take 2:

oleg, that rocks. that'll be my 9th t-shirt.

The poster looks great, but is that a real MP5? It just looks...cheap.
Yes, that is my MP-5. It is a real-deal, select-fire, post-86 dealer's sample.

heh

reference correia's hk rant on stamped metal guns

Great poster as usual, Oleg. You know, that very thing killed me while I was in London. I remember cops (or should I say soldiers?) standing on street corners with MP5s, cameras everywhere, and being more afraid of a criminal encounter than I was in Memphis. It would be funny if it wasn't true.

I agree with the comments that say move the MP5 down. I'd put the text "Now, UK residents are disarmed...etc" in between the Webley and the sub gun to separate them.

Leave the gun control/crime control at the bottom.

...oh, and change "UK residents" to "UK subjects"...'cause they are

I really need hi-res illustrations or photos of UK Bobbies then and now (public domain images or something I can license). Can anyone help?

would be cool if the "now" picture was taken through a grainy, surveillance camera.

No, we're not. The only people who call us subjects are either people who don't realise we're citizens or people who are making up their own definition of subject. That's usually 'people who have more gun control than we do'. It might appeal to an American having a gloat but it just annoys the brits and so isn't appropriate for a pro-gun poster in my opinion.

Incidentaly, the subguns are all single-shot only so is it right to call them submachine guns? To me it's misleading. Would carbine be better?

As much as I disagree with gun control I'm not keen on this particular poster. Gun control didn't cause the increase in certain crimes or the prevelance of handgun use by criminals. The drug trade did. How about a poster explaining how removing guns from law-abiding citizens is inneffective in removing them from people who are already breaking the law by importing illegal items?

I've heard several times that they're forbidden to be used in full automatic mode, but never that they were actually semi-auto only. That's the first I've heard of it. Can you point me towards some corroborating evidence? Thanks!

Hi neospud

sorry, don't know where to point you. I got my info from a few police officers in different regions so it's anecdotal. Maybe we have a british police officer here who can state who gets what?
