He's got a gun thats worth about 130$ with a telescoping stock, a nice rail system and an aimpoint. All of these things are designed for close quarters combat on a firearm that was designed for long range sniping!

Where did you find that picture? The Chaucat is French (I believe) but the caption is in Hungarian.

The gun in post #55 is most definitely not a Chauchat. It looks like a German MG15, which were not abominations and worked quite well.

I remember seeing a picture of a milsurp bolt action rifle that had a bad sporterized job. Really bad. I think Bondo body filler was used to mate the action/barrel to the stock.

For those of you that are confused, Abomination was the name of a character's gun in my novel, Monster Hunter International.

To sum it up:

Abomination? That was just too cool. Milo handed me a sack of loaded magazines. "Okay, just one more question. Exactly how many gun laws does this break?"

Milo's red eyebrows scrunched together in thought. He started to count on his fingers, and then thought better of it.
