So i get this thread notification in my E-mail box and click it.

As i'm reading the posts i'm thinkin "What a stupid thread title, wonder what kind of guy would post somthing like this"?

So i go back to thread one and....................it's me. :rolleyes:
 
Well

The stuff shoots alright.

It's kinda of spendy so i only fired a few rounds of it, hardly enough to give a very accurate range report.

Accuracy wise it's not very good.

I think they advertise this as a breeching round of some kind so no big loss there.

I shot a coffee can full of snow with it and the blew up nicely. Impressive, but nothing useful gained from that experiemnt.

Since this thread is back up and running i think what i'll do is get some clay and when it gets above -10 degrees here, i'll do a little backyard ballistics test for you guys and post pics an data.

Hows that sound?

Um, if I am going to use a shotgun in a fight then I want one of two things: A bunch of buck in each shell, or a slug that will keep going through almost anything. A slug that doesn't penetrate pretty much defeats the whole purpose of using a shotgun.
 
Looks like someone dug this old post of yours up just to start a new argument about MagSafe.

His latest rantings on MagSafe got locked.

I'm thinking he is a troll.

What's with the troll stuff guys ? This all started with someone asking yay or nay about magsafe . I have just about every experance one can have with it except capp'in some fool with it . So I signed up for this site inorder to share my experance and help a guy out . No need to get nasty about it .

Good try , but ... ; If I test all my rounds this way then the phonebooks are the control . If 124gr hydroshock +P+ makes it through 2 books and is always stopped by the vest ( even after reuse ) and magsafe goes through a shockplate , 2 panels and right through 2 if not 3 books then it simply has to be a hotter round .
In the beginning Joe Zambone was told to forget his plans for a 68gr .45acp because this would not cycle a 1911 . They were all wrong ...
Even slow bullets move fast right ? So fast is good ( in my book ) . People that never shot magsafe into anything just don't know . I've got a lot of thin steel plates here and they'll stop anyother 9mm other than
magsafe . A 40 S&W ball doesn't make it through . So I know it's not my medium I'm using . Wet , dry it simply doesn't matter if I test magsafe against other manufactures the same way and see startiling results . I too have been dissapointed in tons of wonder ammo claims . When My buddy Larry who's a range office and an nra cert. instructor first told me what I'm trying to tell you I laughed in his face . Until I tried it . I wouldn't believe magsafe mini glock load 9mm was a vest defeater , until I did it myself and much more than once . In fact he bought me my 1st pack after I told him - " you what to know what's kevlar defeating ? - A head shot" ...
I have no affiliation or vested interest with magsafe . The ammo is nasty hot and I proved it . That's all .
 
Not only did this thread come back to life, it's morphed from a thread about an over hyped, over priced shotgun round into a thread about an over hyped, over priced psitol round. That has to be a first. If we can work PGO's and flanchettes in here we'll be set.

But I never asked about magsafe.

No one here on this very old thread asked about it.

You just popped in on a thread about 12ga shotgun rounds and said "i like magsafe in pistol rounds myself".

Well, good, I guess.

But could you please take it to a thread about magsafe and stop cluttering up this one with an off topic argument.

Read the first post loser, this thread isn't about pistol rounds.

Its about Extreme shocks slug load for 12Ga shotguns.

Its even posted in the shotgun forum!
 
REALLY?! My bad, I thought you could hear the sarcasm in my last post.

Seriously though, what kinda person complains about an off topic post on a two month stale thread? :what:
 
Best Advice Yet

Take the rounds you purchased, fire each and every one into whatever fun media you like, bury the hulls somewhere,then burn the box and carefully dispose of the ashes. If ever found in your possession after a SD/HD situation, imagine the DA parading that box in front of those 12 pairs of innocent eyes.
