Well, we’ve discussed it ad nauseam so please keep the debate limited to the choices presented above. This is a simple poll without concern for why you do or would or wouldn’t. Three simple choices.

EDIT to add, Openly carrying in public, not private land like at home.

Where do you stand on open carry?

I openly carry my sidearm.
I have in the past or currently carry a sidearm openly and it’s not a requirement of my job to do so (police, military, or security off duty).

I would open carry if it were legal where I live.
I like the idea of open carry, but it’s illegal in my state or local area.

I would never carry openly.
Self explanatory. I have reasons that I do not believe in carrying openly. (Please don’t list them here, this is supposed to be a simple poll.)
 
I open carry my when I am on my own land or when I am hunting. Other than that I keep it concealed. Just less hassle that way.
 
If Texas would get open carry I would open carry some times.

Of course I open carry now on my own land.
 
OC is currently not possible in Florida, except at your residence or business.
Sadly,we must conceal 100% of the time out in the real world.

I open carry quite a bit, I have only been asked to leave one store and that was Walmart. The funny thing is I'd open carried there probably 50-60 times, around 15-20 hours worth of time.

I have had pleasant conversation about firearms and received lots of smiles and nods.
 
I wish I could.

I probably would never do it, but it would be nice if I at least had the option.
 
I will put it this way: I'm moving from Florida after I graduate college, and open carry is a must for wherever I decide to move. I won't open carry all the time, but I will do it often. Probably the only place I would not open carry would be at work.

I open carry while hog hunting or bird hunting, but hunting trips are so few and far between that it feels weird.
 
First it is legal but not recommended in my State. I do not currently have a desire to open carry but I can't say "I would never carry openly". So I did not vote.
 
I opened carried for 13 years all
over arizona with no problems.I
did get my CCW permit and do carry
concealed 90% of the time.
 
Having to conceal in hot weather is a MAJOR cramp in the nether regions. If open carry were legal where I live, you bet your bippy I'd carry openly.

(What's a "bippy"?)
 
I wouldn't say that I'd never open carry, but it's not something that I would want to do regularly. Open carry falls under my heading of "Don't invite the Man into your life".
 
I'm jealous of you guys in AZ. Nobody seems to bother you there.

Come to AZ during snowbird season and open carry while walking down the streets of old town Scottsdale, I can almost guarantee you that you will be speaking to the police as they'll get about 100 calls of "a man with a gun" from panicked NY'ers who've got no clue that carrying a gun is legal in AZ.
