Price check of Colt AR

One of my good freinds has an AR-15, it is in very good condition, I am not into the Ar's since I cant afford them, but I would greatly appreciate if someone could tell me the price. I know how much he paid for it, but I want to know how much he underpaid!

Well, he didnt mention model number, But i do know it has the carry handle, shorter handguards, the standard buttstock, 16 inch barrel, standard sights, no bayonet lug, but i am pretty sure it has a flash hider.
