how many rounds do you shoot?

As a relatively new business owner trying to float a business in a failing economy,
during the last year, I have shot approximately 0.5 rnds per month - on average.

The sort of shooting I have done
- when I get a day off (last one in August) -
is free hand (revolvers) and bench support (levers).

On average? Probably....around a dozen or so. Maybe less. I don't go shooting a hole lot (something I'm trying to remedy), but I shoot around 50-100 or so rounds every time I do go out, depending on what I'm shooting.

If it's .22's, I shoot 50-100.

If it's 12 gauge, I shoot 10-50.

If it's .30-06, I'll shoot 10-30.

Aprox 250 Rounds of .40S&W per month due to Budget Constraints.

As soon as I Snag a Better job I plan on at least Doubling that or more.

Been Buying Crossfire Reloads, but they seem to be less grain weight or powder load than WWB or UMC are.
Box Says 180 Grain, but they shoot like 165 Grain.

If I can Borrow a decent scale I might Pull a bullet from one and check to be sure.

Until recently...about 3500-4,000 rounds per month...mostly pistol, and mostly .45 ACP.

600+ centerfire, 2000+ rimfire, non-competitive bullseye pistol a month.

Mercy sakes, it's been over two years since I missed a weekend at our local range, and even then, it was to shoot air pistol.

800 to 1200 rounds per month, various pistol calibers, depending on range availability. The girlfriend does 600 to 800 9mm plus lots of .22 out of pistols.

I have been shooting approximately 100 to 150 rounds per week. Once I start reloading, that number will go up.

I would shoot more now, but the cost of ammo is a killer. That and range time is paid for by the hour and we have been limiting ourselves to an hour to and hour and a half.

We are switching to a new range that has an all day fee though.

due to my highly eratic schedule and that of my wife and child I shoot 0-500 38 super per month and since it was new and it gave me a dental problem 13 50-90 sharps. Pistop is mainly practice for idpa and I was sighting in the sharps.

Once I start reloading,
that number will go up.

From what I'm reading, once we start reloading,
that number may not need to go up.

Quality over quantity.

I have only been able to shoot about 400 rounds, this year.

up until the last 3 weeks I've been working atleast 12 hour days 6 days a week, since the last week of oct last year.

I used to shoot a few thousand rounds a month. It sounds like a lot, but it really isn't. If one stops after work and fires 200 rounds, you're at 1,200 per week. The cost of ammo effects most of us. Time to get a better paying job.

About 100-150 rounds 7.62x39 thru the SKS.
About 100 rounds of 7.5x55 thru the Swiss K31.
About 300 rounds of 223 or 5.56 thru 2 AR's.
About 200 rounds of 30-06 thru the M1.
About 300 rounds of .40SW thru various pistols.
About 100 rounds of 45ACP thru the Kimber.
This all happens in 3 different trips to the range.
The rifle at distances of 100-200 yards.
The pistols 10feet,15feet,25feet and 50 feet.

Time to get a better paying job.

I shoot a minimum of 400 rounds of 30-30, .308 or 7.5 x 55 caliber bullets a month, but usually more. However a lot of it is cast to keep costs down.

I am a three season shooter. I take the winter off. I shoot at a local sandpit. I shoot mostly .22's, due to the cost of ammo. I shoot a Ruger MK II and a few .22 bolt action rifles.

I have enough .38's now, and plan to increase my .22 handguns and stock up on .22 bulk ammo.

I am not interested in reloading, so I have a stock of 200 .38's at all times.

When I shoot, I generally shoot a few hundred rounds per session.

My boys and I go thru about a brick of .22LR per month.

During spring and summer, I shoot about 200-300 rounds of .223 per month with about 150 of that being shot in matches.

I shoot probably 100 rounds of .30-06 per month thru my Garand with about half of that in matches.

Maybe 100 rounds of 9mm thru pistols or my Hi-Point.

Everything else, 7.62x39, x54 and 7.5 Swiss get maybe 50 rounds per month total between them all.

Ammo prices are really taking their toll on my shooting fun.

50 centerfire rifle lately of 7.62x54r since it is the only one I can afford.

For my own advancement of skills? Not as much as I need to. However I do burn off a couple hundred rounds every time I take students to the range in order to complete MY class to them for the FL ccw permit.

I'm shooting to demonstrate or to correct BASIC technique. That puts rounds downrange but since I'm concentrating on conveying something it's not really putting me in the proper mindset.

I make EVERYBODY start off with a 22LR without regard to levels of experience. You might be an airborne ranger, but if you take my class you take my rules. Most folks love it. From a 22 they move up, either to their own choice of defense weapon or to one of my own 9 mm pistols OR there is a third option: The range where I shoot offers guns to rent. Stuff like Sig, Glock or H&K. Anyway I can a student all the way up to wherever they want to feel comfortable. As soon as they master one level of comfort they can stretch and move to the next higher caliber. I stop at the 10mm. Unless their hunters and can show me a 44 maggie with a 7" or longer barrel, so I know they don't have fantasies of Dirty Harry.

I shoot about 300 rounds of 9mm and 500 rounds of 22lr per month, with variable amounts of other chamberings.

I reload my 9mm, to keep the cost acceptable.

Probably 500 .22LR from pistol and rifle once every two weeks to once a month.

100 or so .45 ACP a month

150 or so 9mm from my sub-2000

200 or so .357 or .38 special

And I randomly buy some .380 ACP to shoot periodically.

I have pretty much cut out recreational shooting. I keep my hunting rifles zeroed, but don't shoot them all each year.
My AR rifles and M1A rifles get more range time, but mostly thats checking sights after changing a scope or red dot.
When I could buy 7.62 NATO for around .07 a round, I shot a LOT. Now, with any resupply hovering over .50 a round, thats a thing of the past.
I still shoot a fair amount of .22 LR, both in handguns and rifles.

I don't know the last time I went shooting. Between me and my brother our baseball and soccer schedules take up the entire weekend. :banghead:
