willie t, it's not everyday one sees a Combat Python with a bobbed hammer. Looks to be in great shape. Did you have the hammer bobbed? And are those Bijan Detective Specials?

S&W Model 686-no dash. The grips are a pair off an old N frame that I modified for a custom fit.

bobbed hammer

thanks potato judge, bobbed hammer myself i like to do my own work also cut out the SA she is DA only,i still have the original hammer somewhere.as for the grips they are what colt put on her,to small for my hands(only feed her magnum ammunition)i like the colt pachmayr's on her(dressed her up for the camera),,,,,,,,,bill

Thought I'd weigh in.........

Two personally owned .357s.
The Ruger is a brand new '08 with the new factory grips.....I like 'em.
The S&W Model 28 I got from a friend who's dad was a retired cop, this was his duty gun.
The S&W locks up tighter than the Ruger, shooting both is a joy but the added length of the 6" barrel makes the Ruger a little more enjoyable.

Tre,
Thanks, with all the range commandos and their black plastic I have a renewed interest in doing my own thing. I own and sell plenty of black plastic, don't get me wrong, but revolvers are becoming rarer everyday.
Both are extremely accurate, they shoot better than I do, and of course they are chambered in the ultimate handgun cartridge, the .357 Magnum. ;)
Although I admit to shooting mostly wadcutters and semi wadcutters most of the time for accuracy, I do on occasion shoot some hot magnum rounds. It's always fun to hush the inevitable, nonstop, high round count, "blastfest" that seems to permiate most ranges today.

Ok. Here are a couple pics of what we have here in the stable:

(I love the wheel-guns. They have class!)

Closer shots of my 586 and 29. Handguns should be blue steel with wood grips IMHO.

(Please pardon the cat hair.)

The Colt "Pocket Positive"

Colt021.jpg
This small caliber Colt was built in 1914. It is chambered for the .32 Short Colt round.

Colt009.jpg
The Pocket Positive was extremely popular for Colt during its day
A fine shooter it is.

The wear patterns and appearance of this pistol is very special.
I found this pistol at a pawn shop, I wonder how many people have owned this gun.
