Frito Lay features anti-gunner on bags.

Wrote them too.
Akodo's post above got me wondering.
If they are in fact "we just pick someone who is standing and doing something, we don't judge the actions", then they shouldn't mind featuring Oleg and some of his work on their bags.

Some things that I learned when I worked for PepsiCo:

1 complaint = at least 100 customers that you pissed off. But only one cares enough to let you know that you screwed up, the rest just disappear and never come back.

$20 = advertising cost to gain ONE new cusomter. $1 = cost to retain an existing customer.

PepsiCo is VERY customer focused. They really get really worried when their customers are unhappy with them.

I still own quite a bit of their stock. I'll be sending in my "I'm not only a customer, but a stockeholder, and I'm PO'd." letter tomorrow.

As I was typing up my letter I went to the 'dosomething' website to see some of the other award winners they could have chosen to recognize and did not find Theo listed in either the 2007 award winners as listed on the Doritos bag or in a list of past winners. The bag states "2007 Brick Awards Finalist". The letter listed on free republic states "The student featured received a BR!CK Award." There is a difference between Finalist and Award Recipient. I find it hard to believe that Doritos and Frito-Lay "are not necessarily endorsing their views" when they go back to a finalist instead of an actual award winner and then either mistakenly or willfully falsify information to the public when questions are asked. I am including this in my letter as well.

If your serious, check the funds you own and discard any holding PEP or YUM.

Great, graphic example of PC and changing times with the posting of the "Frito Bandito!" I also seem to remember the Washington Bullets of the NBA!

Right. We used to be able to organize people to do stuff like that. They hadn't had CCW in their states for 10 years or more, and still remembered what things were like when they could be prosecuted for carrying a gun for protection.

Today, there are a lot of people who have forgotten that. We need to keep the pressure on, folks. Otherwise, we're going to wake up some day, and we'll be back to square one.

You might ask them if they would endorse someone who decided to "make a difference" by becoming a serial killer, supporting the KKK, joining the American Nazi Party, or bombing abortion clinics.

Suggest they just drop the whole nonsensical idea and concentrate on selling potato chips, not in expressing hostility and hatred toward millions of Americans.

So, I just called 1-800-352-4477 to complain. Spoke with Jennifer.

Me: Hi. I'm calling because I learned that Frito Lay is honoring anti-gun activist Theo Milonopoulos on Dorito bags and that I consider it highly offensive.

Jennifer: (Snide voice) Your offended because he's trying to help his community? Is there anything else I help you with today?

Me: You see it as "helping his community" I see it as trying to restrict my rights as guaranteed in the constitution and as such I will not be purchasing any Frito Lay products as a result until you withdrawl your support.

Jennifer: Can I have your city and state?

I gave the info and that was it. I was really surprised she was such a snide bitch. Anyway, I made the call and will back it up. I can do without the Dorito's, but that Smartfood popcorn will be hard to pass by.

Called Frito-Lay today and spoke my mind about Theo in a respectful manner. I told her (I forgot her name and title) that I was an employee and offered my perceptions as to why this may be happening and that it was hurting our business. I also strongly suggested that the company rethink it's current marketing strategy so that it would appeal to all segments of society in its attempt to build the business. The person listened intently to all I had to say. She then asked for the name of the city and state I was calling from and said that she would pass my thoughts on.

Anyone contact Pepsi Co. headquarters?
