.41 AE Factory Ammo?

It's great that Weshoot is making that ammo, and I'm sure his asking price is more then fair, but if I'm going to be spending that much per round, I might as well be shooting .50 AE. Thanks again.

I have a Tanfoglio in .41 AE and a conversion for my Hi-Power. I think it is a great cartridge even thougth I have to reload for it on my Dillon 550 and not my 650

Though I am sitting on almost 500 rounds of the factory (blue & white box) IMI ammo with the 200 gr. bullet I mostly shoot reloaded ammo with lead bullets.

Finding 41AE Ammo

Does anyone no where I can get 41AE ammo Can you make this ammo by putting 41 bullets in 40S&W brass and running through the 41AE dies, from Andy

Cannot; the 41 AE case has a '9mm' case head: "rebated".

The case grows from a 9mm 'rim' to a 41 Magnum-sized body.
41 Magnum bullets can work, but the case is dedicated (and current commercial pricing ranges from $100--120 per 100 cases.

Should be able to lathe out the bolt face to the 40 and adjust the extracter, can this be done?

Certainly.

"Should be?"
Not so certain.

So, IF I understand correctly, the goal would be to open the breechface to accept 40 S&W-size case rims.
40 S&W cases would be formed to accept .410" bullets (here, I might suggest also testing either 10mm or 10mm Magnum cases).

Or you could buy new 41 AE cases.........

Yes, martinis now days you drink, now back on subject, Im thinking the time it takes to use my lathe and the amount of money for the 41AE brass now, the cost for the 10mm or 40 brass, to me would be worth it, although there is a company that makes the brass out of 41 mag, I didnt no that the bottom of the cartrige was so thick that you can make this brass to fit the 9mm bolt face, well anyways other than fire forming the 10mm 0r 40, because the 41 bullet will almost make the brass a straight wall than I dont see anything wrong hear do you, from Andy

Andy again, or maybe the 40 S&W has a thick bottom wear the primer is, maybe I can turn the case rim down to except the nine bolt face, Ill try turning down the case and see if I think there is enough meet left, from Andy

Thanks, I can get the dies from Buffalo Arms Co, see if I can rack up the 40 S&W brass or the 10mm take a measurement on the bottom before the rim to se if fire forming is necessary and at least try, thanks from Andy
