Transporting pistols from AZ to MD

So I'm flying to MD on Saturday and am trying to decide how to get my pistols there with me. I know the TSA regulations but would like to avoid any complications with my travel plans. This would be my first time flying with firearms and I am leery of trying it.

I can legally ship (UPS or FED-EX, not USPS) these three pistols interstate to myself, without going through an FFL, correct?

Also, when I left MD (2006) it was legal to own magazines with more than 20 round capacity; it was illegal to transfer them to another owner. Can I still possess my 33 round GLOCK mag in MD?
