But I bought a Glock today, a Glock 17..... A guy bought it to shoot competition, replaced front sight with a Hi-Viz, had a competition mag release installed, a small titanium safety plunger (could someone tell me what this is and does), hogue wrap around grip, 5 magazines (some tens and 17's), original box and papers, and FOBUS dual mag holder, about 40 rounds of hollowpoints, and mag loader. He found out he wasn't a great shot, got discouraged, and after one competition wants to get rid of it. Looks like it has NEVER been fired. I have fired Glocks in the past, and NONE of them had such a light and crisp trigger. Said he had some trigger work done. The trigger is what held me back in the past.

PS. I shot this thing today and fell head over heals. Not only that, when I got home to clean it after several hundred rounds, I asked myself, where is all the nasty buildup. Gun is still clean as a whistle and it's simplicity charms me. I think I need to see a doctor. :what:

super nice handgun. I love my g19, and indeed, u really don't nee dto go home and clean these after shooting them a 1000 rounds even. They just seem to self clean. So simple made and yet work so well, wonder why alot of the other companies can't seem to pick up on KISS.

thats the thing about glocks, its either a love/hate relationship, and everybody tries to make a better version of the classic glock (springfield, S&W, ruger, all make striker fired poly framed guns)

also the titanium saftey pluger really dosent do anything better than the factory pluger, it just gives you the ability to say "yeah thats titanium saftey pluger rite thar":D

if anything it would help to smooth up the trigger pull because its most likley a little more well polished than that factory part.

Glocks are great if they fit you.

The 3.5lb trigger connector for ~$20 pretty much solves the trigger complaints for me, although I question if such a setup is safe for anything but the range.

However I've only two 9mm pistols that I stop shooting because my hand is sore before I've ran out of ammo -- Kel-Tec PF-9 and Glock 17. I can shoot my XD9, Sigma, Witness etc. as much ammo as I can carry to the range, although I suspect the Sigma would make my trigger finger fatigue much past 200 rounds :) Clearly all the Glock alternatives are better for me, YMMV.

Come over to the darkside Luke.

Don't you mean blockside :)

Glocks are good guns but I never wanted one. They are not like your girlfriend in high school. You know the one. Short, Sweet, Cute, drak hair, blonde or red...thoes doe eyes. You dumped her for your wife. Now I look in my stack on push button safe and find a G26 sitting there ready to defend me and my family.

Have a great holiday weekend and shoot straight.
