Oh just try the Glock 29 out! Shoot it (with pinky extension, preferably) at the range first, before you judge it! It's the best 10mm option you have for concealed carry! Cheap, reliable, durable, simple, many aftermarket replacement and enhancement parts, etc. etc.

And if the grip "hump" is that annoying, simply unload the gun, heat the back of the grip up over a heat source (candle?) and push it in.

Yes, the grip is bigger even without a hump, because it's a double stack 10mm pistol! What do you expect?! This is freakin' FULL POWER .357+ MAGNUM performance semi-auto handgun, which is sub-compact / compact size (height is but 4.4") with 11 round capacity? Able to fit in the 15 round G20 mags, as well?

No no! You want this:

Compact, lightweight, and 10mm do not fit in the same weapon. Concealing any 10mm while jogging is going to be downright difficult.

One other possibility is the EAA Witness range in either Steel or Polymer

Well, for concealed carry, I'd personally keep the 10 round mags in it while walking (or jogging?) around, while I'd keep the 15 round mag(s) in my pocket (or wherever) for higher capacity backup mag(s).

The Glock 20 (which comes stock with the 15 round mags) is 5.47" tall, so I'd expect the Glock 29 with a Glock 20 mag in it to roughly be that tall, as well.

So, stock Glock 29 is 4.4" tall (10 round mags, and 1 in chamber), and Glock 20 is 5.4" tall. An inch increase between the two.

You can also get a 4.6" aftermarket barrel for your Glock 29, if you want to. I heard from someone that Bar-Sto can make a 6" barrel for your Glock 29, if you ask 'em. Don't know yet, since I've not personally checked that out yet. I'm sure it's true though.

Don't be scared by the price, since those're premium JHP defense rounds in boxes of 50! Usually for premium defense JHP rounds, you'll see $20 for 20 rounds with the "big named" brands out there. So, DT ammo is actually a good deal.

^ Georgia-Arms also have cheaper 180 gr. JHP GD 50 round packs for $20, but I don't think they load their ammo as "hot" as DoubleTap. If hiking in the woods, you want some nice hot DoubleTap 200 gr. WFNGC Beartooth rounds, for good defense against bears.

You can convert your Glock 29 to .40 S&W, 9x25 Dillon, .357 SIG, .22, 9mm, etc. All except .45 ACP. I heard someone converted their Glock 20 to .38 Super, but not sure? I never tried this.

10mm is a no compromise handgun cartridge.

If you want to carry a gun while jogging... it is going to be a compromise.

Maybe a 9mm but likely a 380.

The Glock 29 weighs but around 32 oz. Not too bad on the weight side, if this is what is concerning people when jogging with it.

And against bears in the woods (if he's jogging in or near the woods) the 10mm is just what he'd like to have, at the same time as being a concealed carry caliber for city / town carry.

It's why I choose the Glock 29, myself. I work and live near and in the woods; yet from work I go into the city / town with my gun, so I wanted a multi-tasker pistol: Woods defense against bears, and CCW for two-legged BG's in city / town at the same time (with a quick switch of mags, of course).

The Glock 29 is smaller than a compact Glock (19, 23, 32, etc.), as well. People can easily conceal it. Try it out.

Generally when jogging the outfits tend to the lightweight and with an aim to reduce chafing and friction.

Lightweight means poor CCW coverage of the weapon.

CCW such as an IWB NEVER reduces chafing and friction if you are going to be running.

To be honest you'd probably be better off with something like a Camelbak hydration pack with storage.

Camelbak makes a hydration fanny pack with a concealed pistol carry section called the Goblin

Even though Glock 29 is a compact 10mm, compared to something like a P3AT it is still an inch and a half longer, inch taller, half inch thicker, and weighs almost 3 times as much when loaded.
It may be fine with something like a smartcarry, but that's still a lot of gun to be bouncing around when jogging for extended periods of time.

Yup. I run. When I run... I only carry a knife. I don't want a gun banging around. The only option I would consider is a little kel-tec in a fanny pack. There's no way I'm carrying something bigger... like a glock 26... etc.

It's kinda sorta compact.

That is now my main carry gun except when it is hot weather and I am wearing shorts. Commander sized and easy to conceal, with the bob-tail adding to the convenience by removing an angle (reducing print) and making it less likely to jab me in the side when sitting. It is easy to shoot rapidly given it still has quite a bit of mass. Mine is tight as can be, accurate, and so far quite reliable. It is a current production CZ/DW model, purchased through Bud's at a very good price. For my money this is just about everything I wanted in a 10mm carry pistol for CCW purposes. Now if Kahr would make a K10 for when I need something smaller.....

I tried carrying a Kahr CW9 when i went jogging. My gym shorts were bouncing all over, pulling up and down and trying to fall off, even with the string pulled tight. and im talking about a gun that weighs ~30oz, fully loaded, with a leather IWB holster.

I carry a knife while i jog also, but if youre worried about bears while jogging, maybe some OC spray is in need.

Did any of you actually read the OP???

I know Glock makes one, but I simply just don't like Glock's. I think there ugly and the feel weird in my hands.

As others have pointed out, there are not any truly compact 10mm guns. It's just too much cartridge for something as small as the Kahr PM45. Basically, the G29, a commander 1911 or the Witness Compact. All a touch over 2 pounds. I prefer the Witness. All steel, 11+1 capacity, DA/SA and a good looking gun. I trust my life to the one I carry:

In a non-restricted free state, the Witness Compact is 12+1, spare mags are reasonably priced too. Unfortunately mine hasn't hit the reliability I'd want for carry with JHP ammo, I haven't given up on it, but full house Double Tap is too much for it. Works great with the 200gr CCI Blazer though.

Glock 29 is actually a larger sub compact. Not a compact. At least in Glock terms. Its height is but 4.4 inches; 10+1 capacity. You can fit a 15 round mag in it, for higher cap backup, though... which is nice. And it's Glock-reliabile and Glock-durable, too.
