I'm quite happy with a long and/or stiff trigger on a pocket gun like the Guardian (I want exactly ONE hole per pocket), but this must be well in excess of 15 pounds. Any suggestions on safe effective ways to lighten it up a bit? Will it ease up if I 'dry fire' it a few hundred times?

I have a Guardian .32 and my trigger is no where near 15 pounds. If I were you I would contact NAA and see what they say. Although I've never needed their service department I hear on the NAA forum that they are great.

Recommend you dry fire with a snap cap or fired shell casing. Easier on the firing pin.

I'd dry fire it a few hundred times before calling NAA to complain. If it's still unbearable after that, ask for a new hammer spring. They're easy enough to change out.

About 12-15# is the weight it should be, though. Try using like a UPS scale and a stick through the trigger guard, to see the actual weight. Make sure it's one that's accurate at the low range. Like a bathroom scale says that my RPK clone with a loaded 75 round drum weighs 6 pounds. That's definitely not right.
