Does anyone know of any company's that sell a reproduction of the Martini Henry or Enfield rifles. Right now I've got the really hots for all things Victorian.

I don't know, although I don't think so. If they did though I'd like to see them made for more common calibers like the .45-70. Not exactly traditional, but easily more affordable.

Firstly, I don't knoe of anyone making them, just not a market for them to be commercially produced.

I don't have one in 30-30 but the top one here is in .300 Sherwood.

It's easier to get original M-H's now then in any time in the past. IMA and Atlanta Cutlery are selling off the "Nepal cache" and most of these guns make good shooters. There's even a couple places selling loaded ammo and brass.

Check out the Martini Henry forum over at www.gunboards.com

Between 1972 and 1984 Navy Arms imported replica Martini target rifles. They were chambered for .45-70 and .444 Marlin cartridges and equipped with a 26 or 30" octagonal barrel, tang sight and semi-pistol grip walnut stock.

You still see them at gun shows or auction sites every now and then.

The Atlanta Cutlery and the IMA rifles are real.

They sell both British manufactured and Nepalese manufactured rifles. They are very careful to distinguish between the two in their literature so you know what you are getting.

Basically, IMA/AC bought out the old Nepalese Royal Armory which had thousands of M-H-s, Enfield rifled muskets, Nepalese made gusn, cannon, and some more modern guns like Lewis MG's and other WWI era guns.

IMA/AC imported all the black powder guns and, I believe, demilled the MG's to import them as parts.

If you buy a Brit M H from IMA/AC, it is "the real deal."
